橘の吹奏楽部を卒業して、１番泣くのは部員のお母さんだそうですね！３年間の平日も土日祝日も朝暗い内に起きて、我が子の出掛けるまでの準備、食事、場合によっては、駅迄の送り迎え。正にお母さんの３年間の無休の部活動だった訳ですから、卒業演奏には泣きますよね😂😂😂🎉

そうですね、当時我が子が通ってた淀◯校さんも夜半まで練習をして迎えの車や先生がたが送ってきてもらってました、オレンジさんはダンスや連携の訓練もはいるのでさらに猛烈な練習と思う。支えているのはお母さんがたなんですよね。

Hacen 10 meses atrás ...me tope con un vídeo de esta banda donde iban por bulevar tocando sus canciones, me parecieron muy buenos....me quede corto...después de ver la representación que fue al Desfile de Las Rosas en California el año 2018 y ver a Hitomi"Kurara"Kanamaru la flautista con una prótesis en su pierna y hacer ese trayecto de mas o menos 9 kilómetros, la presentación de Sing Sing Sing que tuvieron en el Estadio donde fueron premiados como la mejor Banda y ver las presentaciones que realizaron en Taiwan me volví un fanático seguidor de estos increíbles jóvenes estudiantes y muy buenos músicos la mejor de las suertes les deseo en lo adelante.

Thank you for the video and it's great as always. I love the new music set and the choreography seems faster and more strenuous and exhausting than recent years. I don’t think they will be doing this continuously for 5.5 miles and 2.5 hours in the Rose Parade. The set needs to be simplified with a slower pace for the alumni that will be joining, otherwise they will not be able to keep up as they don’t practice daily anymore. I will be watching the Rose Parade in person and the band may surprise me yet. I love Kyoto Tachibana SHS, the best band in the world. 🍊🍊🍊

At Last.... All things are right with the world !! Welcome to those new with K.T., after just a few weeks, the basics are becoming almost second nature, the 2nd and 3 year students are getting the 'groove' back, DM and Flags back doing what they love. A little "polish" around the edges and they will look fantastic walking down Colorado Blvd. The Tachibana Legacy continues.... Job well done St Taketo as always.

The '25 Rose Parade will be a strenuous endeavor. All members of the band, and of course the performing alumni, will have to be physically prepared for marching the 5+ miles and I'm sure KT leadership will make sure the band is well prepared. Good luck to all.😎

ブラスエキスポもそうですが、こうやって前年度まで活動してた子たちが後輩を笑顔で微笑ましく撮ってるのも定番ですね。 8:44からは右端に119期生の方々も居ますよ。現地で119期生と120期生たちで合って挨拶してるの見て感慨ありました。

I wonder if Shima-san will re-unite with her host family and band-mates from The Mandarins in Northern California when she returns to the states for 2025 Rose. Also, it would be funny if she wears her regular t-shirt and sweatpants for the Rose Parade. I'm sure she will dress up like she did for Taiwan, though.

I have seen first-year KT students playing the snare drum before but I have never seen one playing the glockenspiel. It's very difficult to play it and dance also at the same time. This student is really good. 👍🍊👍🍊👍🍊

2年ほど前から3月末まで前年度の活動を熟して、僅かその1ヶ月も経たないのに2024年度橘パフォーマンスを熟すって凄いですね😍 そんな中にあって新2、3年生自身も前年度の活動と同時に新年度のパフォーマンスのクリエイトや練習も大変だった中で新一年生への指導😍 そしてその新一年生達も体験入学期間があるとはいえこの短期間でこれほどのパフォーマンスを熟すまで成長するって凄すぎます😍 以前は一年生はこの僅か2週間程あとのブラエポでデビュー戦だった事を考えると今回このブルーメで初パフォーマンスを熟す一年生は勿論の事、隊の後方についてる一年生達も既にパフォーマンスを熟すスキルにあるはずだと考えると凄いですね😍

生徒達が演奏している横をかなりの人がすり抜けて前へ行こうとしているんですねぇ❗️普通のバンドは演奏しながら前へ進むだけですが、京都橘の場合はステップをしたり、横に動いたり、急に止まったり、回ったり…その動作の途中でぶつかったりしたらどうするんでしょう❓管楽器は口で演奏する楽器です…口にダメージが😱❗️それと、橘の子達が持っている楽器は50万、100万と高価な楽器ばっかりです❗️見ていてハラハラ😓❗️

撮影しながらコース上を歩く小泣ジジイみたいなおっさん、パレードの横を何度もすり抜けて撮影していて危ないですねぇ。パレードを連続して撮影するなとは言わないが、部員さんたちの横を何度もすり抜けるのは止めて欲しいですよね。映像が汚くなって残念です。

4月28日の琵琶湖音楽祭では2、3年生が白からオレンジのユニフォームに着替える間の時間帯のステージを1年生だけでこなしました。なかなかやるなと思いました。この動画のパレードですが、曲目の変更は早くもローズパレードを意識してのことでしょうか。ただ、ビートルズやクイーンはアメリカではなくイギリスのバンドなので、そこはほんの少し気がかり。いずれにせよ今年も京都橘吹奏楽部を精一杯応援させてもらいます。

パレードのプレイリストは毎年変わります。 2018年のローズパレードでは、2017年のパレードプレイリストのディズニーメドレーは、2時間のパレードの中で2回しか演奏されませんでした。彼らはまた、イギリス/アイルランド人の「ノーランズ」の「I'm in the mood for dancing」も演奏しました。

how often does the Tachibana senior high school band practice? I love Tachibana senior hige school band

The band practices hard and requires a lot of commitment from the students. In the older days, it was reported that they conducted practices 360 days out of a year with only 5 days off. That came out to a total of only 15 days off in their three years of high school career. When school was in session, they practiced for 1.5 hours starting at 7 AM before classes and then 3.5 hours until 7 PM after school. On weekends they practiced almost full days and during school breaks they still continued to practice daily. Also, due to the desire of joining this band, some of the students did not even live in Kyoto and needed to commute 1-2 hours each way every day. In recent years their practice schedule could be lessen a bit now since there are new Japanese laws aimed to protect the wellbeing of the students. But I suspect the hours are still long and frequent simply based on this video. Many of the first-year students that performed in this parade only joined the band less than a month ago but they were able to keep up with the seniors already by playing music and dancing at the same time and looked totally integrated. I'm so impressed with the dedication of these students. 👍

毎年の事だけど　新3年生や新2年生になり新しい橘高校吹奏楽部が始まる時期　このパレードに参加してない部員　進級して部活を辞めたのかと思う部員もいるのかと思うと寂しさを感じます　ただ今回のパレードに参加してないだけと思いたい気持ちです　気のせいであって欲しいです

秋の関西マーチングコンテストを観に行ったとき、帰りの駅で、前年の１年生だった生徒さんを見かけました。とても目立つ役割（ここでは書きませんが）だったし気になっていたので4月から姿が見えなくなっていて残念に思っていました。ああ、やっぱり退部したのか、と思うと同時に、でも1年間一緒に過ごしたクラブのことは気になっているんだなと思いました。退部した理由は計り知れませんが、橘の部員として我々には素晴らしく映っていたよ、誇っていいんだよと心の中で叫んでしまいました。

I'm not familiar with the Japanese school year. Will all of these students be at the Rose Parade in January '25 or will some graduate before then?

I believe the school year ends in March therefore all current members (121/122/123 classes) should be at the Rose Parade. Hopefully the recently graduated 120 and other alumni will also be there.

The three active classes (121, 122, 123) plus about a hundred more alumni from 2020 on (117, 118, 119 and 120) will be going to the Rose Parade, making the band 200+ members strong.

今更ですが　昨夜12月台湾北一女高でのマーコン演目での　　7人目のカラーガードの存在に気づいてしまいました　マーコンでの演目時　普段６人いるカラーガードの1人はショートヘアで　マーコン演目には出てなく　1人はマーコン演目ではトランペットでした　マーコン演目のカラーガードは５人皆さんポニーテール　ん？　ならば７人目のカラーガードが？　マーコン演目最終カラーガード画面1番左の部員　かなり練習されたと　普段カラーガードはされてないと　他にも色々動画見て気づいてしまいました　部員皆さん　色々多彩な才能にビックリ　トランペットの3年生がマーコン演目ではチューバで　アルトサックスの2年生はバスドラム　見れば色々な発見がありました

新しい橘、この時期らしい雰囲気だし、新DMさんは笑顔が自然でスタートにしては落ち着いた雰囲気でDMとしてピッタリ‼️気持ち良い。個人的感想だが、今回の曲目がローズでの曲目だとしたら、どうかなと感じる。あと前から感じていたがコーチがバナーの横で子供達を引率しているようで。もう少し離れた場所からマーチングの流れをチェックしたらどうかな。バナー二人の片手の位置が違う事を気付かないのでは。
