【京都橘高校吹奏楽部】日本初！３度目のローズパレード出場正式決定！【２０２５年ＲＰオーディション最終合格】ローズトーナメント協会会長よりの異例の祝電（年内日本語限定・転載ご遠慮下さい）

２０２３年１０月２日京都橘高校フェスティバルホールにおいて、ローズパレード２０２５審査結果発表会が開催され、２０２５年ローズパレード会長の祝電動画と共にオーディションの合格が告げられました。
京都橘高校吹奏楽部は２０１２年、２０１８年に続き、３回目のローズパレードの出場となる。単一の高校（団体）で３回目の出場となるのは、京都橘高校が日本ではじめてとなります。
今回は異例に２０２５年のローズパレードの会長である、エド　モラレス氏よりお祝いと激励の動画メッセージが送られて参り、会場が大いに盛り上がりました。
本年度（２０２４年）の出場団体に配慮して、２０２３年中は日本国内限定での発表に留めてもらいたいとのことで、日本語以外の英語や多言語の翻訳・拡散はお控え下さい。
来年は５回のクラウドファンディングを予定しており、是非皆様のお力添えを賜りたく、宜しくお願い申し上げます。
また、著作権・肖像権の関係もあり、動画の無断コピー・転載は固くお断り申し上げますので、宜しくお願い申し上げます。

(Jan. 18, 2024) - Tonight, on the front steps of Tournament House, newly installed President Ed Morales announced the 2025 Pasadena Tournament of Roses theme, “Best Day Ever!” The sounds of the Pasadena High School Orchestra filled the air as Morales revealed the 2025 theme poster to a crowd of Tournament of Roses Members and friends. Earlier in the evening, the Tournament of Roses’ Board of Directors confirmed Morales as President and Chairman of the Board for the 2025 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association, providing leadership for the 136th Rose Parade presented by Honda and 111th Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. “The 2025 theme celebrates life’s best moments - those unexpected times that bring a smile, warm our hearts and fill us with joy. From a once-in-a-lifetime experience to the simplest pleasures, each is indelibly etched into our memory,” explained Morales. “Together, we celebrate where we’ve been and what we look forward to. It’s about family, friends, and community and what we have to celebrate - and to be thankful for. On New Year’s Day and throughout the year, let’s celebrate the times that make up our Best Day Ever!” Throughout his illustrious tenure as a volunteer Member of the Tournament of Roses, Morales has been the driving force behind numerous committees, wielding his expertise in areas such as Community Relations, Membership, Queen and Court and Media Operations. Beyond his impressive involvement with the Tournament of Roses, Morales is a member of the Pasadena Optimist Club and serves on the Foundation Board for the California School of the Arts. Professionally, Morales is a Partner with the Law Offices of Borton Petrini, LLP. He received his undergraduate degree in History from UCLA, followed by a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School. Ed and his wife, Lisa, live in Pasadena and have two children, Lainey and Jessie. Lainey attends Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ and Jessie is studying at Emerson College in Boston, MA.

EDWARD J. MORALES President Pasadena Tournament of Roses® Association President Edward Morales has been a volunteer Member of the Association since 1992. Morales will serve as President for the Tournament of Roses through 2025, providing leadership for the 136th Rose Parade® presented by Honda and the 111th Rose Bowl Game® on January 1, 2025. Throughout his illustrious tenure at the Tournament of Roses, Morales has been the driving force behind numerous committees, wielding his expertise in areas such as TV and Radio, Community Relations, Membership, Decorating Places, Queen and Court, Media Operations and Post Parade. After the promotion to Committee Chair in 2006, his journey escalated to a pivotal role on the Tournament Board of Directors in 2011, followed by his election to the Executive Committee in 2016. Professionally, Morales is a Partner with the Law Offices of Borton Petrini, LLP. He is a member of the California State Bar and the Los Angeles County Association, through which Morales is admitted to practice in the prestigious United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Court, Central District of California. 私も気になりますね。おそらく117期からだとは思いますが、現顧問は115期からのうけもちなので、その辺りまでではないでしょうか？参加できるのであれば、それ以前の期にも出てもらいたい願望があります。

前回は25才以下、髪を染めていないことが条件で募集されたようなので115期辺りまでかと。ただ、先生、コーチの交代や指導方針の変化もこの間にありましたので溶け込みやすいのは117期辺り迄かも知れません。個人的にはもっと上まで会い顔が顔が浮かびますが、、、

前回の18年の参加条件は黒髪、すっぴん、SINGが踊れる、だそうです。SINGが踊れるとなると2005年以降が対象になったのかな？人数が多い方が音に厚みが出るのでなるべく多くの卒業生が参加出来るようにして欲しいですね。とは言え、実質参加出来るのは学生と主婦ということになるのかな？

参考は前回2018年です。パレード参加188名でそのうち大学4年生以上の社会人年齢の方は9名の参加にとどまりました。やはり、仕事や家庭、育児等々で時間が取れないのでしょう。で、今回は117期まっこDM世代が学生である最後の年ですから、メインはその期まででしょうね。パリンプ116期以前の方々は出たくても都合がつかない人ばかりかも。
