穴場スポットと表現するには有名すぎますが、上醍醐を散策いたしました。歴史的な建造物に囲まれながらの登山にはとても心が躍りました。天候によっては、頂上からは大阪を越え淡路島のほうまで見通せることがあるそうです。
【Kami-Daigo (the upper part of Daigo)】
In the 16th year of Jōgan (874) , Shobo, a grand disciple of Kobo Daishi Kukai, kindly welcomed Nyoirin Kannon and Jundei Kannon on the summit of Mt. Kasatori and founded Daigo-ji temple. And Shobo named the area near the summit of the Kasatori mountain "Daigoyama".
In 1097, Shokaku separated Daigo-ji Temple into the upper and lower parts of the mountain.
