I was struggling with parallel parking up to the day before my test. I came across this video the day before yesterday and followed every step….. today I’m a CDL holder 💪🏽

I love how you say “if you don’t set up Properly you will still succeed.” To me it implies stick with it, don’t get angry, you will make it work with ease. Great advice.

Your breakdown of how to parallel park a tractor and trailer is by far the best I've watched. You demonstrated how a Drill Sergeant break down a task to the simplest form. Excellent Job!!! I am a CDL holder thanks to this video and other video taught by this genius gentleman.

You are the best instructor I have seen yet! Your teaching style has given me so much insight on backing, that I couldn't even obtain from trucking school. I've been here in school 6 weeks and have not successfully completed any backing maneuver completely on my own. I can feel your patience from here. I really appreciate your knowledge and actually TEACHING, aside from safety, the number one thing a trucker needs to learn, and having different teaching styles to make sure your students actually LEARN and UNDERSTAND it. Now I'm studying your videos, preparing to take my test soon, i will let you know how I do.

Your video is great! My CDL teacher just yells at all of us to "get under it" or "follow it in." We are not truckers (yet), we don't understand industry lingo. And, he is unable to use descriptive words (he was hired as a trainer 12 years ago, yet never received training in how to train). It's taken me 4 weeks to be able to put descriptive lingo to all his many trucker terms. Wish I would have found your video sooner! I test tomorrow.

James, Thanks again for the excellent ideas. I'd love it if you could give me a couple more tips. I'll be starting my driver training soon, and when I test will only be allowed to "Get out and Look" twice. If I use your checkpoint ideas, when should those two times be. Also, when I pull past the spot, is it fairly easy to see where your back tires are in relation to the front cones, by looking in your mirror? Any tricks to use to know where the back of the truck is??

This instructor at CR England I had today, complicated the heck out of a parallel I did. He walk me through a set up where I had to pull 2 or 3 times. Honest to heaven, I could have done an easier and much better job without him. I did 2 days in a row previous to this time with him. He ruined it for me and I was upset frustrated because I know for a fact it should not have as complicated as his way was. My spirit was boiling and I was Livid considering how pissed off he had me for ruining my opportunity for the day. It was such a disappointment for me, I WAS DONE, and I refused to do another Backing the rest of the day. Uuugh!!!!!😤 Whew!!!!😮🙁

LInes. LOL. The CDL School I went to didn't have any lines on the range. Their driving range was a dirt parking lot. About 3/4 of the way through the class I dropped out. Fighting for a refund on the money I spent on the class now.

Thanks for the video! When you first began the test, you turned the wheel to the left to make the trailer go right, at what position or angle did you stop the tractor before turning the wheel to the right to get the tractor straight? I look forward to receiving your answer! Thanks!
