I can appreciate a tight schedule but, as a friend pointed out as he sent me the link to your video, we can always tell which boat/crew doesn't find a weekday evening to go practice sailing. But, no harm - no foul. You had fun. Right?

Definitely a round up, broaching is when a breaking sea causes the boat to turn beam to.

In my book, once the rudder has left the water it's a broach, regardless of the impetus for it.
