I can relate to each and every word of your story.... difference is that I experienced this in my college as I started liking a girl and i chased her madly and got attached to her emotionally and after 4 months of spending time with her .. confessed my feelings to her but unfortunately got to know that she was already in a long distance relationship for 2 years and infact in these 4 months she didn't feel that I was having feelings for her. Now everything is fucked up .. after knowing all this she said that we can be good friends as earlier it used to be ....i agreed to do that ....but after 1 month i realised that it's not possible for me to act like a friend.... every time I meet her i put a filter of a friend...and suppress my feelings which is very painful... So ya ..i can say love is something which should not be chased...if it has to happen it will happen and that too mutually....so it will be better to focus on our goals and keep ourselves occupied with our work.. Honestly, going through something similar right now. Was in a relationship with this guy, I treasured him, a lot. I would do anything for him. I'd always walk an extra mile if that put a smile on his face. One random day he breaks up with me saying he didn't have "feelings". I was shattered, kept thinking what did I do wrong? I did everything from my part, maybe I wasn't enough, I kept asking him for reasons, begging him to stay. When I couldn't stop being overwhelmed I tried contacting his friends and family about this because that affected my health in many ways, I couldn't eat or sleep. The end result? He trashed me in the worst way possible, saying I'm worthless and clingy and that he didn't even want to see my face, and blocked me from everywhere. I was blank. I thought, I was just doing everything for him to come back to me, what did I do to deserve this treatment from him? Absolutely nothing. It's just that, I tried too hard. Maybe he stopped having feelings because I became pretty ordinary, "foolishly in love" with him. Maybe that's why after he left so suddenly, I felt as if my life has come to a dead end. I felt lost and miserable and humiliated. I kept thinking, why? After everything I did, how could he leave me that easily? Am I that easy to forget? He's so unaffected, smiling and laughing with his friends like we never even happened, while I'm here, crying all day long. I'm still in the denial phase. Even though I know that, what meant the world to me, meant so little to him. But I keep consolidating myself saying he must be guilty too, what if he comes back? Even though I know that I'm being a doormat and treating myself like an option which is always open, I can't stop feeling perplexed and anxious about it. Maybe when I get out of my "denial" phase and finally acknowledge the "acceptance" phase, things would start looking little less gloomy than it does now. ❤️

I used to be an IDIOT(lived in the fantasy that chasing love is the most important aspect of life or in other words I thought that I am not a worthy person if I can't win the love of a girl) but with the passage of time I came to realize what Sir has shared in this video. Really an eye opening video for the Indian youth. Perfect timing for me, i was proposed by a girl 6 months ago, i also felt something nice. so i alwys gave my time, money, help, even compromosing my job interviews, bt she started bahaving different after a while, once she attended a party, she started blaming me for trivial things, once i stopped her from her girls outing, she took the chance and lefte, I was devastated, i started blaming myself, cried a lot, later found that she was happy without me... eventually I realised its only because I gave her so much importance, she started taking me for granted.... Sir, I am the kind of person who believes in staying transparent with myself and with the other person as well. But sometimes I have to pay the cost of it. When I like someone and their qualities, it gets automatically reflected in my behaviour and the other person gets the message. Then I decide to express my feelings rather than dragging them for longer and wasting more time. But the other person always has one or two reasons for not coming into a relationship with me. They say that they like me but they can't commit to me and this hurts me a lot because I genuinely liked them. It has been 4 times since I have been rejected. Now I am afraid to even fall for someone.
