Thanks for doing this comparison! I've got both these speakerphones and every single time I've done a back to back comparison, the people on the other end have consistently said that the Calisto sounds softer but much clearer than the Jabra 710. This is over both USB and bluetooth (my default connection to my Macbook Pro for our Zoom meetings). We use the Calisto for meetings with 12-14 people physically present around a long conference table and another 4-6 virtually via zoom and it's great as long as people in the room speak up.

Got a Calisto 7200 vs Jabra Speak 750 ms comparison? Would love to see if Jabra adding the Full Duplex and Echo Cancellation make the 750 the clear winner or if the Calisto 7200 is the better option.

Thanks for this demo. Very thorough and informative. I actually have the eMeet m2 and was thinking of getting the Jabra. The eMeet speaker is great but the microphone is not what I expected. However, it performs better than the Jabra IMO, at least listening to this demo, so I will keep the eMeet. Surprised no company has made something with an actually decent microphone.......

How would you compare the Jabra 710 vs the eMeet M2?

It kept getting muffled when you were talking in your "demo" was this your camera audio or are we hearing the audio from the device? Happened on both devices.

Poly Calisto and (PLT) Plantronics logo?? Are they that together now? I know about PLT buying Polycom, but it still seemed they worked seperate brands and models

Many thanks for doing this comparison. The test on USB would maybe be better if you also test at a distance. In my own experience, the Plantronics has better all around microphone performance.

How would they work if I want to do a video podcast using my phone camera and use these speakerphones as the audio source for the video recording.

Just two cents from a Callisto 7200 owner: I watched like five or six comparison videos with many of those table audio solutions and the 7200 has by far the supreme mic quality. The voice is bright and clean, unlike with the 710, where the voice is rather dull. I don't know what Call One does wrong here, but I have a friend who has a 710 and the quality is just low compared to 7200 - both on Linux Desktop connected via USB. Don't use Bluetooth with a computer, it's just a waste of quality. Then the duplex mode, 710 has as far as I know no duplex mode, the 7200 has the most impressive echo cancelling, that I've ever seen on the market. I actually played loud techno music while doing a Skype echo call. When the recording time was over, I stopped the music. On the playback there was NOTHING TO HEAR of the music, while my voice was clear and understandable. The music was rather loud, someone in the room would have actually have issues understanding me. That is so impressive. You can have a party while talking to your boss 😀. It only cancels sounds that are played through the computer via the 7200 though. Surrounding noise is not at all cancelled. In fact, you have to disable the noise cancelling through the windows Poly app as it sometimes causes random mic mutes and your interlocutors won't be able to hear you. Since I disabled it - which was rather useless anyway - I didn't have any further issues. Typing on the keyboard is rather loud with all those table devices like the 710 or the 7200, because they are usually placed close to they keyboard, but all in all if you do like 5-6 hours of calling like me, it's a relieve. I liked headphones - before Corona. Wearing them up to six hours a day caused me headaches, which are gone now since I use the Callisto 7200. It's worth every dime, I love it. PS: I bought it about two months ago and I'm still suuuper happy with it.

I have the 7200. It's more compact and fits in a pocket in my laptop bag perfectly, where the Jabras do not. I love it except for the inability to shut it off reliably. It has some kind of wake feature that makes it turn on automatically sometimes. Also, no way to turn bluetooth off, as far as I can tell. It sounds great on both ends, battery lasts for more than a workday for me (I travel a lot). Can sometimes have noticeable DSP artifacts, which is what I think they were running into in this video. I'm glad I bought it and am happy with it, but can't say how it is compared to the Jabra. *As a side note, most other consultants I work with that have one of these portable speakerphones, a "hockey-puck", own the 410 because it's plug-and-play, no issues fiddling with bluetooth and such.

Blue tooth kills all the quality. Plug them in and they’re both pretty darn good

Hi - how do you know the jabra 710 is charging ,also is there an indicator that shows that the jabra speaker has fully charged when its done charging ?

Would really love to see you redo parts of your comparison test. #1. When connected to the USB, you seem to always be blocking the 4 directional mics that are on the BOTTOM of the device, not the top (you'll see there are two holes on each side of the device, on the rubberized base portion of the device). So the sound never comes out as clearly as it should be. #2. The Calisto should be on a flat table surface, and shouldn't be tilted up because once again, the mics won't be in the proper direction and you'll end up blocking it on a table. Tilting it doesn't help it. I would seriously recommend you re-test this whole video because it may give people an incorrect comparison. It would have been also good to hear the Jabra 710 with the A/C on as that's the situation in a lot of environments

I like your comparisons. I recently got Jabra 80 just for noise cancelling microphone for quality phone calls. Can you please tell which one is better, Jabra 75 or Jabra 80?

Hey Danny, i know you've done a mic test and such in a Boardroom setting with the 2 Jabra 710's, would be awesome if you did a test with the Plantronics Calisto P7200 when it is in the middle of a boardroom like that. Would be interested to know how the 7200 microphones performs in a Boardroom setting in comparison to the 710's.

Both sounds kinda same, but since because I've used Poly (in plantronics brand) until now, i prefer Calisto for easier & only 1 software management. For my Voyager 5200, and this Calisto 7200

Per specs, the calisto 7200 supports full-duplex audio. Jabra does not. When people speak simultaneously, this may make a significant difference: has anyone noted a particular difference or can comment on the value of full-duplex feature?

7200 Speaker quality is insane! so detailled and natural. sadly the mic doesnt keep up to that level. so probably the Jabra is the better package

The Poly comes across as sounding better on this video. There is this raspiness with the Jabra that is all too familiar with them in my experience.

The 7200 I have uses BT, even with PC, no dongle needed.

wow, that Jabra sound quality is awful. with the software, you can turn off noise cancelling on the 7200 which makes the mic sound much better.

I would treat any tech advice as suspect from someone using a curved LCD in 2020
