Each of the Marstons killed the series’ main villains: John killed Micah Abigail killed Milton Jack killed Ross And this has been said several times, but it’s poetic how Ross first met and taunted Jack near a river, and now Jack finishes him off near a river. The final screenshot of Jack first signified the end of this game, and now it signifies the end of the RDR storyline. One word for this game... masterpiece

After Jack killed Ross, he was still alone. His family is still dead and most of the gang he knew are gone so we don't know where can Jack go or do after dealing with Ross. But if anything, the Wild West has come to an end and Jack is still roaming the frontier.

In my mind, Jack became a criminal just like John and Arthur, most likely working with alcohol smugglers. By 1946, Jack finally breaks the cycle and retires in Los Angeles, where he discards his father's hat in the trash. He then writes the book "Red Dead". The book details his life and the life of his father. The book becomes a best seller and Jack goes on to live a full life. I know it sounds like fanfiction but it's the best I can come with.

In my mind, he fought in the First World War after this, using his gunslinger abilities to survive, then afterwards becoming a writer and having his book Red Dead (which tells the entire RDR storyline) and it became a huge success, and it’s the same book Franklin has in his new house

No Country For Old Men takes place around the Vietnam War era, and it was essentially a story about the West’s death. A man who was practically a Wild West outlaw in “modern” day, intimidating Sheriffs who have stories from their fathers and grandfathers about the Wild West. We could easily have a RDR3 following Jack Marston and how he is a dying breed. I also like your idea of him, a relic of old outlaws, meeting gangsters, modern day outlaws. Maybe find some way he can fly a biplane. He deserves it, especially with how much he has read on them flying machines.

Nah that's a really juvenile way of thinking, no game dev would consider making RDR3 about Jack, or any sequel for that matter. You can't forget the essence of the series, it's a western series. The only thing that makes sense is a new protagonist in an older setting. That'd be way more interesting. Not everything needs a sequel or explanation

Jack's character arc, and the way he kills Ross (and if anything, including his family) sums up the quote made by Friedrich Nietzsche: "Anyone who fights monsters must fully understand not to become one. If you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes right back at you." John did everything he could do to make sure Jack doesn't up like him. And when John died, that's when Jack decided to become an outlaw. Killing Edgar Ross may not bring John back, it is also a reminder that revenge can make you even worse than the enemy you're supposed to kill. Nevertheless, Ross' karma is best served cold.

@@Icy-be5vl exactly. But how revenge is executed depends on the level of evil your target has, but then again comes at a risk. Apart from the Nietzsche quote I mentioned, there's a proverb that says that if you embark on a journey of vengeance, start digging two graves -- one for the person who wronged you and your loved ones, and the other is for yourself.

I think RDR3 should be about Jack Marston and have it take place years after RDR1 and I'd like to see it set in the 1920s and/or 1930s and we see what Jack has been doing and where he is or where he's going now. That's actually what I'd like to see is more of Jack's life after RDR1 and what he's doing.

In Rdr2, theres an event where Hosea is trying to teach Jack how to read. At the time he found it boring and said he wanted to be a gunslinger like Arthur. Abigail's response to this is "over my dead body" and tells him to be a lawyer. Its ironic that one, Jack went from hating books to loving books, and went from wanting to be a writer, to becoming a gunslinger.

Tilly, Pearson and Mary-Beth are doing safe jobs, the chances of them getting killed is very less. Charles probably retired and started a family in Canada and gave up on his criminal life and also has less chance of getting killed. But Sadie is probably still a mercenary, she has the highest chance of getting killed. I doubt that Sadie is still alive. Pearson would be old by 1914 but the others were younger than John and definitely are still alive.

Jack in RDR2 wished when he was a kid that he wanted to be a gunslinger like Arthur, his dad, and like Hosea. And this is something you can catch when playing Red Dead 2 when you are at the camps. Hosea is teaching young Jack how to read with Abigail watching. Hosea looks taken aback a little at the notion while Abigail flat out says no and even said that she had to be dead if that was going to ever happen. Sure enough in Red Dead 1, that's exactly what happens. Abigail dies after John and Jack inevitably becomes a gunslinger. And the worst part, Jack says in the epilogue of Red Dead 2 that he doesn't remember a whole lot back at the camps when he was young, so it's entirely possible he doesn't remember his dream of being an gunslinger that his younger self wanted to be.

Jack is a new Dutch. Both him and Dutch are book smart criminals consumed by darkness and great resentment towards the government. Ross killed Dutch’s legacy by killing John. Ross failed to kill Dutch’s spiritual successor which is Jack. If RDR3 is about Jack there should be flashbacks before Abagail dies of her talking about Arthur and Hosea to Jack again after John’s death - and her warning him not to be like Dutch.

Side note - Pro whenever you're looking for another western game to play here's some recommendations: - Call of Juarez - Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood - Call of Juarez: Gunslinger - Gun - Red Dead Revolver

Cool little bit Of symbolism is that Jack first met Ross next to a river when he was fishing with Arthur and the last time Jack and Ross meet is next to a river

Jack realised what he had become. He became someone who the entire gang didn't want him to be, a gunslinger. He ruined his life by killing Ross. Jack's story is very sad, he's alone in this world and he has nobody to take care of. All this would've never happened if John didn't go after Micah in 1907.

If there ever is going to be a Red Dead Redemption 3, I'd like to see it take the Neo-Western route. Like No Country For Old Men, or Wind River.

I’m hoping to see a RDR3 between the tension between Jack and Archer. Fordham serving his redemption to save Jack to attire for how the government betrayed John.

I think Sadie and Charles might have lost contact with John, not only they are very far away but also John might have not want to sent them letters since the government was onto him, he probably wouldn't want them to find about Sadie and Charles. I would love to have a new game that is not facoused on characters we know, maybe a new gang in another part of the west, it would be very interesting. The news about the war is very accurate, a bunch of european countries getting into a big mess while dragging everyone around them into it and while they do that the US is making a big profit over everything. Also, rememeber that in WW2 Japan also commited big genocides as well, some even more evil than germany as well, they were really evil at the time.

Truly red dead redemption 3 should have Jack to handle his criminal life set in world war 1. And prohibition Chicago. Where his criminal life goes too far. And the way to get out is to assure he faces god. And he does. The twist. He brakes the circle when being dead from the criminal life and decides to write his story about the Wild West. Especially events that happened to Arthur and John. And called it Red Dead. It become a hot seller book series. On par with lord of the rings.

For my revenge i threw a molotov cocktail at his wife and then hogtied her and dragged her to the brother. The I hogtied the brother and dragged him until he died then brought him to edgar and then shot edgar down and dragged his body around for 10 minutes then burned the body and dragged it around some more then left the corpse to the coyotes and vultures. My only wish is that the game made edgar realize what i did to his family first. All anybody knows is that the entire remaining Ross family disappeared.

Red Dead Redemption ending is one of the best I've ever experienced. Jack ends up becoming everything his parents didn't want him to become. In the end, the only way to redeeme one self in that kind of world is through death. The end is really sad, but real.

I have a question for you Professional. After playing RDR2 could it be possible that John wasnt Jake father but Jaiver was, on the notion that Jake as an adult looks more like Jaiver from RDR2. I enjoy the channel keep up the good work.

I think it’s due to Jack having a similar facial hair style with Javier BUT even if that’s true and Jack SOMEHOW find out about that, he will always see John as his true father

@@hoanglongnguyen950 without doubt Jack would feel that way i totally agree with you on that, but I was talking more of John's action and the reason why he wasnt around in the early years of Jack. I got the feeling after playing RDR2 when Arthur talks to Abigail and talks to John, and after certain events in the storyline that it feels at time that John had doubts that Jack was his.
