It doesn’t feel right to hit the thumbs up but I want to thank his family for keeping the fans (the little kids inside of us) aware of what’s going on instead of just having him disappear. I always hoped he would visit my school but for a few minutes he would visit our homes. Shout out to you Mr. Hanna.😢

Jack Hannah chose to live a life that effectively brought so much good into the world. A lot of people cant say they chose that route for their life's mission. Both for animals and humans like. But he did. And he shall be remembered for that. I for one am incredibly grateful for all of the hard work he put in over the years, and for the fact that his legacy will live on not only through his family and everyone's memories, but through the long lasting effects his work with conservation and such has and will continue to have on the world. And how inspiring he is to so many of us, especially the ones who've chosen to follow in his footsteps. His working years may have ended, but his mission should live on for a long long time.

Alzheimer's is very hard to deal with. To anyone out there with a relative with Alzheimer's one of the best things to do is to be completely understanding of their condition. You have to be there for them 100%. Listen to them, talk to them and give them the same level of respect as before. They will have glimpses of cognition and if you are there during those moments it will comfort them. Family is key because they know the life they had so they are better equipped to deal with the situation. The world will be confusing for them, guide them through it with kindness. Go with the flow when talking to them. You have to put yourself aside completely which is hard for a lot of people to do.

It's so sad that Jack has had such a wonderful life filled with amazing experiences and memories and then losing it all to this terrible disease. My father had Alzheimer's also. I spent a lovely time with him one day visiting our old favorite places and reminiscing. After taking him home, he thanked me for the great time we had and then asked who I was and what my name was.😢

I pray for the family and I cry in my heart as I follow his journey and the families. I think the idea to meet with David Letterman is wonderful. I pulled my father’s drivers license. As every day, he made clear, concise arguments as to why I was just being mean. I had to instal a lock on his door, to lock him in his bedroom at night, because out of nowhere, he just started sleep walking, an Alzheimer’s side scoop of fun. It was gut wrenching. One night, he got out, and thankfully the dogs barked, because they thought he was going out for a walk without them. I found him about a block away with a flashlight, 1/2 dressed, roaming through people’s yards. He said he had to inspect the “pop me ups” which I eventually figured out were the pop up sprinklers. Every male on his side had been savagely taken by Alzheimer’s, all living extremely longer than the doctors gave them. In my grandfathers case, he lived for more than a year, in a complete vegetative state. He hadn’t shown life in 9 months and his body was equivalent to that of someone who’d spent time in an Natzi prison camp. 10 years earlier, my father had a pig valve installed in his heart, and now it was time for it to be replaced. The doctor was sure the replacement would be successful, but there was something hanging in the air as we spoke. I told him the next day, that we would not be pursuing the replacement, and again, unspoken, hanging in the air, was a sense, that he 100% compassionately agreed. Just as my father began to get confused between me and my siblings, he gave a 45 minute, clear, concise, convincing talk to me, on how my mother, the love of his life, had cheated and cheated on him. The details he spoke, were sooo concise and he said it with so much pain, about how much he still loved and forgave her, for her outright indiscretions. You see, my parents had a fabulous love for each other and my mother never cheated, as my father had adopted, as truth and verbatim, what my Uncle had endured in his marriage… I let my father speak to me like that, simply because in some cruel way, he felt at that moment, we were having a deep, father son moment. I would let any of you kill me in the most cruel way imaginable, rather than sit through that again. My father’s heart valve failed in his sleep a month later. Alzheimer’s is sooo unimaginably cruel. I know what the Hanna’s are going through and I know the memories of the real Jack will carry them through…someday.

I work in a nursing home with many residents who have dementia and they do have moments of clarity. They DO recognize people, my gosh they recognize me and they have not known me forever like their own families! With dementia it just screws up the thought processes! But even if they look at a loved one with a blank stare believe me deep inside they know who they are, but sadly they can't process it into words of recognition! And I can avow these souls are good, yes some might.physically lash out, but that cones from a place of fear! They know something is not right in their minds and they can't fix it, that's so scary for them! At the nursing home I work at these souls are loved! I give them as much love and respect and compassion as possible, same with our residents who have other disease. But I wish people would look into whether parasites have created brain changes! And B 12 deficiency is real, it causes brain issues and just taking a low dose of vitamin b 13 won't fix it, one has to find a reputable and caring physician who can test them and then figure out the right dosage and how it must be administered ie injections or supplement. There can be a myriad of reasons why a person is exhibiting dementia symptoms! But sadly it's so much easier to just say its Alzheimer's or some other dementia and give them meds, it takes far more work to really look into why the persons brain mind is malfunctioning! Modern medicine relies on an easy diagnosis and meds!

Jack... Do some pike pushups to roll push ups... Do some dip bar walk and turns... Do some walk on hands... Reverse planks... Like your driving and parking... Do some jumps... using a pole... to get height... Do some practice kicks using a pool ball... Leg in then kick... Jumping... 1 v 1... Do some euro steps and spins and double spins around the corners of the house... Turn the basket... All corner shot... Use the board... Keep it low... 3 moves... Behind the back... Back thru the legs... 1... 2... Cross... 1 v 1... Trick shots... Step back in a corner... Go back up from corner...
