Being no stranger to releasing groovy beats, Jack Jarryd’s previous singles have gained traction on Dutch national stations such as QMusic, Radio Veronica, Radio 2 and 3FM among others. Jack premiered the track live during Eurosonic Noorderslag, where it immediately received an abundance of positive reviews. 'Hot Stuff' originated during a spontaneous studio session with producer Bjørgen van Essen, where the goal was to experiment with new sounds without having any expectations of the end result. The key arrangement came about very naturally whilst the two instinctively jammed together without exchanging a word. After listening back to what was created at that moment, the words ‘Hot Stuff’ immediately came into play. Jack Jarryd said himself: “The title 'Hot Stuff' represents the feeling of the song in so many ways; a hot dance groove, spicy lyrics, a saucy meaning together with the warm sounds of the Rhodes and castanets, among other instruments. It just became a really sexy record.”
