I have no problem with moves like this being in fighting games. The windup takes so long that you have a long time to get out of the way, plus the endlag allows you to punish.

That's a pretty contentious argument in the Mortal Kombat community right now. There was a character in the most recent game that had an unblockable 66 frame teleport with a long whiff-punish window. It created a suprising amount of drama

I love how they reanimated Prototype Jack's version in TTT2. I wish they would bring him back. He's the only sub-boss from the original Tekken to never get a decent run.

For some strange reason, any new gamer will always get hit by moves like this. You don't know until you feel it. My brother and his friends did this to me a few times, that's when I did not know any better. You would think it's silly at first but when the damage is done, you will feel more silly for not evading.

So I may be super late to get it on Tekken, but my first one is Tekken 7. I had no idea the vast amount of lore, carried over techniques or anything. Really makes me think I need to get more of them. I’ve barely scratched the surfaces of the roster on this one, but I definitely remember playing some of the originals at arcades when I was younger, so I think I’ll get more when I’m ready.

Im familiar with it thanks to my uncle playing 2, 4, Tag Tournament and SF X Tekken. I also touched upon a bit of Tag 2 at a game night and finally played 7. Hell, I might revisit TT2 at some point

Despite being a 1 shot, it's actually quite balanced because it literally takes 3 seconds to wind up. if your reaction time is slower then 3 seconds, then you don't deserve to play.

Pros of this move...its an instant K.O. Con...it leaves you vulnerable to any attack. So used wisely, and far away, but too far away cause of its short range.

Another similar fighting game “move” for anyone interested is Rumble Mans taunt from Ready2Rumble which I find far funnier, but these mechanics are ok as long as their addressed as being overpowered and therefore being incredibly slow
