I love the stick/broom fighting at 2:16 especially because you can really appreciate the rhythm that Jackie Chan uses in his choreography.

dammmn!! this versión is so freaking!! different from the U.S versión!! this one is more realistic, serious, extended and more dramatic!! LOVE IT!! the U.S versión of this movie its simple, trash dubbed and a charade!! Jackie Chan must give this version to all the world.

There are some bits you see here that are cut from the US version. 0:04-0:10 Her lines were significantly shortened. 1:25 The real reason why they stopped pushing the scaffold. 1:36 How the other guys showed up at the end of the fight. 2:45-2:47 Small brief exchange. 2:50-2:58 Jackie struggling against 3-4 guys without a staff. 3:37 Why Jackie went & jumped through the ladder.

It's really disheartening. I want to buy all my favorite Jackie Chan and Kungfu movies on blu ray, but they have just be straight up mistreated and reedited. Anime doesn't have this problem, so why can't we get unaltered Kungfu?

The US version cut out the part of Jackie getting PUSHED towards the ladder! They made it look like he just jumped through the ladder to jump through it, haha.

How is this fight not serious?! The menacing music of the Hong Kong version is much better than the circus music used in the American version.

Neoquaker1; I think in this particular scene, being relatively low stakes, the silly techno music fits better than this mid-tempo generic action orchestration--which, besides being boring and overly dramatic, is joltingly slow for this fight, even with the slower-paced cut.

Laugh it Off! I agree, plus the American version’s music is more upbeat and matches the energy of the fight scene.
