The people in the comments right now.. Is that MC admiring that Jackie Chan in the video waited and watched with compassion when he was speaking English? That's a big deal. Westerners need to know how crooked their views are. Can they speak Hong Kong Cantonese to that extent? They can't speak a language from another country, and it's just funny to think that people from other countries should speak English. When I meet them in person, they are so ignorant that I don't want to mix words. In fact, Americans have a very high illiteracy rate, so they won't be able to learn another language.

If you mean stuff that don't make sense like "tough, cough, though etc.", looking at how it used to be written makes it all clear. Sometimes you don't even have to go back but look at cousin languages like Dutch or German that retained more of their former ancestor language English also descended from Cough - keuchen (german) Tough - taff (german, retains the "A" sound) Though - doch (german, retains the "O" sound) And so on. @@infinitedopamine6429 It is weird. I am from Bulgaria and for me it wasn't so difficuld to learn English. Japanese is far more consistent in its rules and pronunciation. Yup, so many languages have helpful marks to aid pronunciation. The accent in French, umlaut in German. It's easy to mispronounce english words if you just read them. Most native speakers have faced this issue too. Your written english is excellent.

English is my first language and I agree. It just has all these gruesomely sloppy attempts at implementing the rules of every other language in existence into it's grammar, and what you get is one of the most obnoxiously inconsistent languages in the world. I've spoken it my entire life and consider myself pretty good at English as an academic subject, yet I'm still learning. It's ridiculous haha 😅
