Coming back to this in 2024 and I deleted all secular music off my phone and switched to a new Streaming service to create a new palate for music that is 100% Christian. I was crying on my way to see my patient today listening to 'Firm Foundation'. When I say BAWWLING my eyes out!!! He won't fail! And He is my firm foundation. So I won't fail either 💜

My favorite thing about this pod is how safe Jackie felt here. She felt safe enough to be vulnerable and that is sooooo beautiful and valuable at the same time. When you don't trust people these spaces mean everything.

I’ve challenged myself against secular music a couple months ago and it really is effective. I no longer have the urge or desire to listen to it. Living testimony of that.

Music was a drug for me, so I was immediately delivered from the need to listen to secular music and I am so soooo very thankful. A lot of people don’t and won’t understand the hold it had on me. I never want to go back to letting secular music rule my mind and my emotions. I thank God! 🙌🏻

It’s interesting the way God has renewed me one thing at a time, but I didn’t think about this until Jackie’s music challenge. That’s where it all started. The first thing He did in me was completely remove the desire to listen to secular music. It was instant. I didn’t even think or pray about it I just went 💯 praise and worship….and you’re right, EVERYTHING has changed.

I did the secular music restriction like month ago and it definitely has changed me. That conviction is definitely real!

Met the B side team last weekend in Fort Worth Texas for the book signing. Guys these people are so genuine, and it’s so refreshing. Not just Unc (which was incredible 😭) but Hector, Juli, Derrick, and Auntie Juliette. Speaking to all of them blessed my entire soul. I spoke to them all individually and they are definitely carrying Jesus with them. I hope I see them again and they see the impact their wisdom made on my life.

This episode was literally the one that introduced Tim, the Squad, and the dwellers to me and i have never turn back ❤

I had a shift in December and didn’t want to listen to secular music anymore. Now it’s like my taste has completely changed and I don’t even want to hear any secular music. There’s also a ton of different types of Christian artists, so you can find anything you want.

I did the challenge few years ago for myself, and every time I had to bow down and cry. As human beings we really have little faith in ourselves, but when you become born again and really....... really listen to only gospel music is like another door opens up for you. This music is my love songs, my way of how I communicate and vice versa with God. Few years back I had little faith in how my son was driving, and every time he would say Mom just have faith in me. So, one day I forgot my wallet home and the car was also parked at home, so I called him, and he said Mom don't panic I will bring you your wallet. Little did I know he will take the car, when he got to me, and I was amazed how quickly he got hold of me. So, I ask with what transportation he came with, and he answer was I drove myself with our car. Panic kicked in.... and immediately the song "GOD WILL WORK IT OUT" came to my mind. As we drove back home, I was in a panic state but all I could hear is the song playing over and over in my head. When we got home safely, I started to cry and asked my son to forgive me and most of all I went on my knees and ask God to forgive me for the little faith I had. Believe me TAKE UP this challenge no words will make up for what you will experience. God is amazing🙏🙏🙏🙏

I just love how Tim interacts with his wife. It’s so sweet and soft and tender and I can just imagine how easy it is for her to live in her feminine energy 🤗

This was such a phenomenal interview as I’m a BIG fan of Jackie Hill Perry! My favorite part of the interview was the revelation of why Hagar was sent back to Sarai after leaving because she was being mistreated… the revelation for me was because sometimes we must endure suffering as it ultimately mirrors what Christ went through on the cross, and through Hagar’s suffering, God made a great nation from her son Ishmael. This showed Hagar’s great faith in a God that she was not born into (she wasn’t Jewish).. and she names God ‘El Roi’… the God who sees! That whole POINT right there…did IT for me!❤❤❤

This is sooooo deep. PROfound!!! I usually listen to videos sped up, but could not do that to this one. I needed to hear every word. Blessings to you two and your team.

About two years ago I went to a revival in LA that changed my life. Three weeks later I was back on the east coast but still following this ministry and one of the things they were teaching us was the importance of gatekeeping our eyes and ears. I deleted all the secular music I listened to and started searching for music that was anchored in the gospel and it really did change my life. I noticed that the way I thought about things, how I even reacted to things that used to trigger me was profoundly different. It’s so radical how much being intentional with all aspects of your life with Jesus will change everything. I’m grateful because if God hadn’t intercepted my path then who knows what I would have gotten trapped because of my spiritual venerability and lust for the LA lifestyle. He is faithful in our surrender of carnality and only through His power can we truly be set free from those things that snare us.

This is going to be fire and I'm so excited for two great people/teachers of the word of God. This two has/have been a contributing factor in my continuing journey in the Lord. I've come out of old traditional way of ministry and so FREE.

Ima renewed follower of god and I’m still trying to find my footing of my purpose and my walk with god and I love Jackie and you ! ❤️ I learn a lot from hearing you not only speak but teach

The first fast I did when I was born again 14 years ago, was exactly what Jackie said. I did 21 days of no secular music and tv. It shifted my perspective significantly and I became sensitive to the holy spirit. I have not turned back since, 14 years of no secular music.

This message 😢 wheww!! I was writing in my journal the two big issues I have, Trust and Discipline, ironically i was thinking trust but i wrote down Faith. When he said trust will take time and the issue is Faith, i started crying because i know that was confirmation that is the issue. I feel Mrs Perry about trusting people. I get it. This translates to my relationship with God too. Its not that the trust that is my issue, that will take time, i need to work on increasing, asking for more Faith.
