So beautiful to actually see a man do the work and not be defensive nor blaming or giving the excuse that he is a guy. So thankful for your transparency. Beautiful to see your strength Laura. Thank you for seeing hope. My hope is to one day be restored from this devastation.....I see that it definitely makes a difference when both are willing to work. I'm sure it's not easy to do what you're doing but thank you!!!

Sadly. Carl lentz never admits to sinning and redemption found in the Gospel. Only by works is he pursuing and now is behind a microphone once again while his wife sits on the sideline like she did before.

If you would have gotten help earlier you might not be helping thousands of people face their addictions and trauma. I love the help you are bringing and permission for addicts to get help. Maybe especially giving Christian’s permission to go to therapy or 12 step programs. Powerful! Thank you

There is so much about these podcasts I appreciate. There is so much I question (even the idea of the need to be in the spotlight again by sharing your story publicly instead of staying with private healing where you just disappear from the spotlight and get a real 8-5). I also question the wisdom of a move to a heath-and-wealth mega-church / prosperity pastor. I am grateful for the work God appears to be doing in their lives and pray they continue to find genuine repentance and gospel-centered healing (which are not always the marks of the type church they have chosen to become a part of). Above all - thank God for a grace that pursues us even in our darkest hours & seasons.

Wow...what an incredible conversation. First off - Carl, God has redeemed you! I love how God takes what most people would never forgive and abandon and instead He is making your life such a beautiful testimony! And yes, your wife is incredible! I am proud of both of you and how you handled this! And your kids are amazing too! I love that you are so open and honest and have conversations with them and allow them to be real. That was my goal with my own kids who are not as old as yours are. I hope we have the kind of relationship with our kids as you do with yours. I appreciate this honesty and it's a blessing. This whole thing is much harder than we could ever understand, and so I get that. But I love how God has redeemed this and brought you and your family even closer. I was a pastor's kid, so I found myself agreeing with a lot of what they said too! I'm truly proud of you all! What was meant to destroy you and what the Enemy meant for evil, God has transformed into an incredible testimony. God is so good! I pray for God's goodness on you all as you continue in this chapter of your lives!

Your story is such an example of what 2 corinthiens 2:5-11 should look like in our churches When they talk about doubts, as a victim of cheating and also deciding to stay in the marriage, I had to come a point where letting go, knowing the it “ could happen” again was a reality, but I would survive it as long as I stayed close to Jesus.this gave freedom to relax.

The most beautiful family🤍! I am in awe at the emotional and spiritual intelligence your children carry. They are so well spoken. It never matters who messes up in the family bc it’s ultimately up to everyone to pick up the pieces. Not to say someone isn’t to blame or there’s no accountability to be taken but to make it work.. it takes EVERYONE to put in work and save the family. I speak from experience. Congrats to all of you for putting in the work! I wish you nothing but the best.

You kids I feel all that. This is all your dad... and same thing I told my kids... every thing they went through is my fault. I get the vibe. My kids loved me and can and respect... The lack of your father to see the way he really as a father 100% caused this... no blame no judgment, just his level of failure... I can use one with my youngest son. He asked me about his wanting to after mil might be thinking he wanted to become a cop/detective... I said a few things and then just said as long as you swear to me that no matter the temptation you remember now I said do not ever even consider and never violate a persons rights and that makes perfect sense. Just some positions are not just their ooops.. it really harms that and breaks huge things... You kids should know the internet has reasonable who get and also know I really only see 4 people who every right to place the blame and above all your fathers mistake is really his... and you all love him as but really fully is not owning it and making sure you are not placed in this public space to idiots who say personal things... Anyone ever made the mistake of putting my kids in a place that my total fault caused them to be dealing with that got full attention and made certain they just best not ever get and after they read that made certain to go say sorry... same here you all went through a really way more traumatic than him and I lived it so the rub I feel is you all having a public fear to say IMO due to this is so public ... Should not be even lead ... I am amazed my kids are such great people when their father only fully realized just how big a problem they were in and i made sure I let them know... and they were able to then tell me all the problems so then I could let them know in a few they were able to confront some and really see I really made sure that they never felt like they must love me and think they have to join in or say something... I said as they are concerned ... know no one should be more stupid than to make a error than think any thing we really know in our situation... all real harms... we caused unless we can enable that person in you as a family are not the part ... plain your dad should take him against anyone whatever that you be made to be in a very Vulnerable seat... my kids once I told them never be timid when it comes to a person who says things or claims may do if you see something that you know is wrong and can help help.. and if you see something that makes you mad and true admit you were wrong... I mean I you having to worry I explain so as you know I am not attacking... my grammar is bad so I have to be care to not just drive by and cause a family who are trying to address and be bombed with some idiot who see the chance to take a min to boil 5 people. 4 of you deserve a public way to speak to and at something. Here I see all of you trying be authentic. I when one girl cried I saw the way they had to tiptoe to not say and pulls in the sister I realized I just thought Carl popping to his son any thoughts... I really was sad just thing of how many times did my kids cry and he as a father was the cause of all that happening. The pain of that he has no emotion.. but when he voice cracks and did an emotion it was no where close to that and I dont see how he did not say and cry that he is sorry because ultimate yes petty but we are talking an adult man letting his child blame it on the his way worse root... and IDK I feel he can do way better. She should be having a dad who finds that he ruined his daughters graduation... something gone. and again if the kids read you have a right to be mad at all the ones who "Dipping" as I watched it is not to pit the kids against him. It the transition to him is him and son any thoughts... Bro? I was just sad for them and piviot and needing move. I was like why need to close. He should get up and go own that... I know if my daughter Charitie said that and she did few tell me about right after how scarred she was when her mom moved them a few times and they were living with people they did not know... she said she would be asking please bring my daddy back... and we were so close and I just sat there and held her she was 8-9 all that.. I have never known more how I failed than the times when they would tell me about that first years of all that was going on... So I was hard to see without...

I am encouraged by the journey the Lentz’s have walked. It’s sad that it’s taken Carl’s very public fall a few years ago to get to talk very honestly about what the church should have been talking about for years.
