Yesss. I thought I was the only one. Everytime I hear this song it makes me cry. I'm a 17 year old guy and i only hear this by myself because i dont want my little sibling looking at me weird. This song truly encaptures a child like innocence that i wish I could have back but will never have again. When I was younger I wished to grow up fast, I didn’t want to be young anymore. I wanted to make my own choices in life. Now I want to just be a child again, I would give anything just to go back in time. My bedroom, my living room with the box tv and 3 stations, having to rewatch our movies if we didn’t want to watch episodes of a streaming show over and over again. Flying kites, everything be so very colorful. If I could do life over again I would do it differently. Maybe my childhood could’ve been different.

A close friend of mine recently died in a car accident last weekend, he was only 17. I went to his funeral and there was an open Spotify playlist playing of songs that made you think of him. This was first on the playlist and was playing while I was viewing him, it really had a new meaning now. Please drive safe, a car is not a toy and you’re not invincible. He had been having issues with depression and other things for a while before this, whether it was an accident or….. not an accident… it’s not my place to speculate nor do I really want to dwell on it. I remember seeing you before and in home room every day of junior year. I remember lighting things on fire in chem lab with you. I remember you falling asleep in English everyday and me laughing my ass off. I love ya man. You were too good for this world. How’s the weather in heaven? Come back and tell me sometime. 💔🙏 A car is a tool, not a toy please. If you have issues with depression or thoughts of suicide please reach out to somebody, please keep living. Don’t check out early because you got lost in the darkness. You’ll find the light switch eventually. Live a full life, it’s beautiful beneath the shining sun. You have an unmistakable mark on everyone you meet, no matter how invisible you feel ❤️

I feel the same way about this song. I have not heard or seen the video for a long time and the title of the song only just popped back into my mind. The crazy thing is that I’m unsure of what genre of music this song falls under but I originally heard it on the country music station back when they were still playing music videos in the early two thousands(by the way I live in Kingston Ontario Canada and they no longer play country music videos here although I wish they still did because I miss some of the music videos that they used to play including this one)

I’m 18, this song is so insanely nostalgic. Reminds me of eating those tube popsicles in the backyard during summer, pushing each other in the red car with a yellow roof, laying next to the vent with a blanket in the winter, going to that one playground with a metal slide, putting on the same curious George dvd over and over, those light up sketchers, playing city/house, trying to climb that one tree, running in circles while tilting sideways, finally getting that one spider-man bike, the icecream truck, and everything else we all loved as kids. My Dad was right, you’re only a kid once, enjoy it.

In the same place and I just realized that my childhood is over. Like I’m not in that stage of my life anymore. But you know what? Childhood isn’t the only good part of life. @@michaelwade4835 haha yeah dude, this song brings out emotions I won't find anywhere else. Its crazy to think about, but the play button on this song might as well be a bittersweet button, because I can hit play and get the same feeling everytime. A place filled with magic at every corner.
