It's treated as income, which it is. Hence, it is taxed as income. Same thing with making interest on money in a savings account. Once you exceed a certain amount, it's taxable, despite the money used to make that interest already having been taxed. Income is taxed for all sorts of reasons, and it's a good thing. At the end of the day you still won a jackpot, so that's still awesome.

Few years back, I had the flu. I told the guys I was leaving. Was dizzy so sat down and played a machine so as not to take up space. Pulled three times and wouldn't you know it ? I hit 3500. tipped the floor girl, still had 85 AFTER putting back 100. Tapped stranger guy next to me. wished him luck and home I went. Before I made it outside , I heard my name on speaker. xxxxx just won 3500. lol my friends called me but I was long gone..... Gave them each 500. , I was waiting for them at gas station. Did not want them to put money back. I was hero for a week. I had fake 15 rolex that I wore to work next day. They all laughed, they knew it was fake. I used to travel for work, me and a good froend I’ve known for 20 years and we would always do that if one of us had a lucky night and the other didn’t. It made it more fun because sometimes you just go through a bad slump of not winning while the other person can’t seem to lose lol, we both had our turns in each situation.

1000% right on the walkway limit. One time I put $100 in a $50 a spin machine and figured I was throwing it away, hit for $1600 on second spin wheel of fortune, moved over to the next machine and hit for 3 red 7s it was 3200 I believe. Long story short however much I had didn’t matter because by the end of the night it was all gone. Everyone I think of that night it hurts my soul, I really thought I was just going to keep hitting jackpots 🤦‍♂️

The best tip-set your walk away limit and actually walk. I laughed when I heard the woman in the background say you are still playing after the $10,000 hit. That would have been me. Great job. I like to keep some hundreds ready for hot machines. When I hit big, I print it out and replace with the cash slowly but resist putting the ticket back in.....this seems to help. I never leave a hot machine, but having to stop and go cash in the ticket gives you critical thinking time. Best of luck in the future.
