Fun fact: every time you play any boss battle the creators made it so that the one of the instruments played slightly louder each time, so that means there is more than one boss theme for each boss

Hearing the level complete theme in Cuphead is like winning the godamn lottery

They actually hand drew and animated every scene and background. That’s why it looks so authentic. EDIT: I did make a comment in the replies regarding this but yes, some of the backgrounds are 3-D sculpted models! :) Apparently, there are individual songs for every level, created by their friend who is a jazz musician. There are multiple versions of each song that have different solos for instruments. There are lots of BTS videos of this online, which is where I got my info! All credit to the game’s creators’ interviews, along with videos made about behind the scenes.

I was so impressed by how Sean narrated the beginning chapter part of the game. It sounds so much like those old cartoons or people you hear from the radio in the 1930’s era. This game looks and sounds so retro.

Jack if you complete a Run n' Gun stage without firing a single bullet you'll get a P rating. These are counted as better than an A. Please like so Jack sees this. (Also you can get a secret if you get a P rating on all the Run n' Gun stages))

not to be melancholy, but when this first came out, the memory of me and my little brother begging to get it and then playing it for hours upon hours after school, still not beating it (even to this day lol, were inexperienced), was one of the last true good memories i have. so, @jacksepticeye, whether or not you ever see this, i just wanted to thank you for introducing games to me and my brother, and helping us to make many happy gaming memories that i cherish. you helped my brother learn to be energetic and fun while still being appropriate, and helped me learn to express myself more, that it's not childish to enjoy things like games. Holy cow I actually never watched this before! I didn’t come across Sean until 2018. I’ve been seeing how popular cuphead has gotten and omg Sean is so different he’s grown so much!

I’m watching this again after the DLC, I was wondering why Sean wanted to do a whole new run through since it’d only been like 2 years since it came out. To my surprise I see Jack with green hair and I think to myself “How long ago was this?!” just to realise it’s been four years already Time truly goes by fast

I still absolutely ADORE Jack's look of pure happiness and excitement in the beginning. It's always such an amazing moment when something you've been waiting for finally comes out

These are some of the things I've always wondered about the story of the game: First, even if Cuphead and Mugman wandered far from home, how did they end up all the way on the other side of Inkwell Island at the Devil's Casino? Kinda shows how irresponsible the Elder Kettle is is parenting. Secondly, if the brothers are so good at gambling that they're on a winning streak, makes me wonder what the Elder Kettle has been teaching them at home or where they even learned about gambling at home. Lastly, if the Soul Contracts matter to the Devil so much, why didn't he send King Dice or go himself to collect from his debtors? They're both very strong fighters.

I died when the intro sang "The Devil will take their HEADS" I expected "The Devil will take their souls."
