I think of it as more of a challenge to do worse. How big and terrible a failure can you make? As big and terrible as that Cats movie? Probably not, but you can sure try! At least it can help boost the confidence of people who want to get into independent film production.

Nope. The most serious one where he showed actual anger was the Fouseytube vid which he deleted. But he still got pissed off with him, so he made a song about it and collabed with many youtubers. It's a real catchy song! So yeah. Jack used his anger for creativity.

Top rated comment on IMDB: There is a wall in my house. The wall is a simple wall, eight feet tall, and fifteen feet wide, it sits in a corner in the basement. It has been painted beige, with a few coats to cover up the bumps and scratches from coats before. It's got it's idiosyncrasies, the way the light jumps off the paint, the not so even drywalling underneath. Stare at it long enough, and it begins to speak to you - or at least allow you to speak to it. Maybe there's something to the wall - or maybe it's just my romantic illusions of inspiration and contemplation that bring life to it. My point is this - staring at that blank wall for two hours is far more inspiring, interesting and enlightening than watching even just two minutes of the cinematic colonoscopy that is "Cats." A film so awful, so ridiculous and so void of substance its very existence is an affront to musicals, film and theatre. Unless you're a fan of 'so bad it's good' cinema, stay away. This is a watershed moment in bad movie history.

I went into the theatre today expecting this and my god it was me and my friend then the back 3 rows were filled with elderly people and that’s it. It was dead silent the entire movie except one of them laughing at all of Rebel Wilson’s jokes

Guys I’m not even joking. Don’t see Cats in theaters. I made the mistake thinking that I could at least laugh at it. I did not. I will never ever get that two hours of my life back. Live your lives better than mine. Find that person you think is the best thing in the world and tell them how you feel. Go on a road trip with someone you love. When they made the movie Coraline, they didn’t make it a live action movie mainly in part of the fact they would have to make mice and cats talk, (even when they weren’t main characters in the story). What really threw me off about the movie was the environment. Like the entire world seems too big these cats, but everything is still cat themed, with an entire song set in a milk parlor made for cats. The actual plot of Cats, both play and movie: All the cats reunite every given time to choose a Jellicle Cat, the best and most deserving cat, so they ascend to cat heaven and reincarnate It follows an hour of cats introducing themselfs and their quirks that they think makes them cooler (I'm the magician's cat, I'm the cat that lives in the train station, etc)

thats why they all sing about their own names and stuff .... works as a musical/play (its one of my favorite musicals) but does not translate to movies well. I wish hollywood would just come up with some original ideas instead of fucking up old reboots.

It's hilarious seeing people not understand the plot considering how simple it is, but well if you can't hear the lyrics at the end of the invitation song (and apparently you can't hear them?) you're pretty much fucked. I only watched the musical recently, and I really needed the lyrics written next to it to understand what they were saying. Which is a problem when you're watching it in a cinema. I was hoping that they reworked the songs so that they were more intelligible like the added beautiful ghost song is.
