Jacob brings tears of "I cant describe" to my heart. Thanks for this

I know this feeling exactly was listening to him last night just as I was going about my business and then got stopped dead in my tracks and was crying, something magical about this dude

I wish BBC had a better sound mixer. Jacob's vocals and guitar were way below Orkest. In another video from the concert they forgot to cut Jacob's audio in. It makes his beautiful music appear sloppy.

With the notion that all art is derivative and as such pays homage to those who come before us, compare the opening melody of Cassandra Wilson's tender lament entitled "Skylark" with that of Mr. Collier's equally moving "Hideaway." My Chinese students always remind me that imitation is the sincerest from of flattery.

Bless your opinion. It made me question my own thoughts about Jacob. For a second. The complexities of his music are the point. Melody, rhythm, harmony, form, phrasing, articulation, freedom, sensitivity, nuance, exquisite moments of near ecstasy; all will be yours to enjoy once you learn to hear them.

@@anonaconn definitely agree to some degree. it's hard to appreciate his levels of ryhtmic harmonic and melodic complexities if you don't understand it enough. To non musicians I wouldn't be surprised if jacob's music sounded like mush
