When he first burst on to the international scene he was phenomenal but last year or two his form and confidence dipped, I remember his error against lenister in the Heineken cup quarter final and dropped the ball over the line it seemed after that his head dropped, hopefully he can regain that spark and confidence as he's still a serious player

People also forget as sexton pointed out in that match stockdale was the best player on the field in everything he done except that one drop. however i dont know if that was the reason for his lack of form as he played phenominally in australia and in the autumn series especially against the all blacks.

Nah man Munster for life it’s just based on form they’re the best options and now larmour is injured so stokedale Keenan and Shane Daly going for starting spots since Conway is 100% in

Recently he's been playing far better, been scoring more and making more runs, he is definitely getting used to full back

Plenty of Irish fans forget he was a huge influence in Ulsters recent "success", Ireland last grand slam and the W over the All Blacks. If he was from Leinster you would all be singing his praises like usual. Fickle fickle leinster

@Nick I agree he has been crucial to Ulster and has put in some great shifts in green too. But his biggest problem seems to be consistency., Pity you had to throw in that cheap Leinster dig though.

Strange remark. We love him at Leinster too. His fall from grace since 2018 is mirrored by half the Irish squad, so that's poor management of a young player. I don't rate his defensive capability at top level though. Going forward he will rank as one of ireland's greatest by the time he is done

So surprised to so a clip of him playing schoolboy rugby for Wallace against my school Methody in fact my year group! We never thought much of him at schoolboy level but how wrong us snobby Belfast schoolers were.

As an Ulster Rugby fan I reckon he's in the Lions Squad next year. Maybe not as a Test starter but he's definitely in the 42-man Lions Squad next summer. In Europe last season he was a phenomenal attacking threat. He's dipped a bit in form recently, but in the last few games he's regaining his confidence again. And I reckon by the time Warren Gatland names his Squad he'll be on the list.

As a Ulster fan would love it too see it 2018 stockdale definitely would be in test match but he starting to find his feet again and hopefully will get better Andrew put out some epic videos

Was on form back in 2018 but feel like he’s slipped behind in the last two years. Conway has been the in form winger in Ireland. 50/50 chance.

He's definitely been given a tough job and so with that hasn't been able to showcase as much skill I'd agree but Conway has been one of Ireland's worst wingers idk what you're on about

TBH as good a player he is, I’m not sure he’ll be in the lions squad next year particularly given the amount of competition in the wing category - Eng - Watson, Daly and Nowell; wal - North, Adams, LRZ, Sco - Graham, VD Merwe, Ire - Lowe, Earls, Conway

Nah he's cheeks in defense, specially under pressure from tactical kicking. Just watch every Eng game for the past 3 years, Pollard will have a field day.

Absolutely not true. I can understand why you would say that if you weren’t watching him week in week out, but as an Ulster fan, I can tell you his distribution and assisting are world class.

He runs such great lines. And is solid in defense as well. The attack in 0:35 is beautiful, amazing kick and chase and such quick decision making and feet afterwards. Bonus points for Parisse being Parisse at 4:35 (talented as heck, but such a selfish personality/decision making)

Rode the crest of the wave in 2018 but since then he's been decidedly average. He may make the tour but only if May, Watson, Nowell, Cokanasiga, McConnachie, LRZ, Adams, North, Kinghorn, Maitland Earls and Larmour get injured.

I think hes more talented then all of them tho he has 16 tries in 28 international tests. He could shatter the six nations try scoring record by the time he finishes

@@DM-rp9ik Hes not been at that level since then and it's not all about how many you score? His defence isn't as good as most named above so let's in tries too. Some of the names listed are so good and he'll be lucky to start for Ireland soon with his lack of form.

Hi Conor, I'm a Taff. This guy has the potential to make a great international back 3er. He is usually blisteringly quick (apart from 1 moment last year, when he was caught by an "old man"). If he is guided properly, he should be on the 2025 Lions' Tour. I do not want to see him become another Simon Zebo (his try against us is the best bit of skill or fluke - depends on your opinion, mine is skill, is the best individual try that I've ever seen - I've been around for a while!).

And Farrell thinks he'll be fine at full back. He gifted Eng tries by poor defence. It seems that an Irish player has a few good games and he's bigged up. Shame for the player.

They all want to drop him lol. IRFU has to cut the elegibility rule of only Ireland franchises based players. Imagine Stockdale after 2 years of Top14. He would be a world class act again.

@@EllliotJackRussel1 the team Ireland faced in Chicago that day was mostly the all blacks first team at the time. Barrett, Read, Kaino, J.savea, A.smith, B.smith and a few more all started.
