Las Vegas didn't get it's nickname as "Sin City" for nothing. Much of the history of Las Vegas involves activities that were illegal in other parts of the country. Nevada is the only state in the U.S. with legalized prostitution. This video will help clarify the laws as well as serve as a warning to help you stay away from this illegal activity so that you can be safe during your time in Las Vegas.
1:09 What Nevada law says about prostitution
2:18 What happens if you're arrested for engaging in prostitution
3:08 Scam 1 (On the strip)
3:53 Scam 2 (In restaurant/public setting)
4:05 Story of first hand experience
5:49 When you make it back to the room
6:08 Scam 3 (BEST Case Scenario)
7:31 Scam 4 (WORSE Case Scenario)
9:48 Scam 5 (WORST CASE SCENARIO)

Wow! Illegal prostitution in Las Vegas has gotten so out of hand in the last 35 years. I had more action when I lived there than I did in the 3 days I was there prior to moving, when I was checking out where I was going to rent/live, but the prostitutes I came across were just trying to either score their next “ drug hit” or pay their own rent. The scenarios you talk about in this vid are way more in depth than TV shows and movies depict. On the other hand, it sounds like the pimps and girls have paid attention to those scripts and realized how stupid “johns” really are. I came across one at a bar in Westgate (back then it was the Las Vegas Hilton). Most of the time though I found them near the places they lived. I actually got to know some over several days before hooking up. That was years ago - I don’t do that anymore. I’ve become asexual since.

So I used to work the graveyard shift at the Diamond Inn, across the street from the Mandalay Bay and I remember 2 times where prostitutes drugged men and stole money from them. One of those occasions placed me in an awkward situation because a prostitute escorted a Swedish or Danish tourist to his room and 5 minutes later came back to the lobby where I worked and took his credit card and kept making withdrawals. She said the tourist wanted to give her a “birthday present”. She made about 5 withdrawals before the card finally declined. I believe she probably got about $1,000. Now here is where it gets funny: At one point she mentioned she was wearing makeup (she was a BEAUTIFUL black woman with an amazing face and body) and I said “wait…youre wearing makeup?”. At first she was like “cmon man, are you serious?” I got close to her face, squinted and looked carefully at her face and said “youre wearing makeup?” She then got visibly emotional and said “I love you!” and gave me a $20 bill and left. True story.

If you ever decide to in the future, be careful if you ask them to evacuate their bowels on your chest.... they'll pull that, 'I cant go. Im trying to shit on you, you see I'm pushing but I just don't have to go right now' bullshit. Yet you don't get any money back if you leave with a clean chest, and every time, if you stand in the hall for a few minutes on your way out, you'll here a toilet flush within 5 minutes!! Almost every bitch drops what shoulda been YOUR heat as soon as you leave and just fakes not being able to cover your chest so that it looks like a Pollock painted with wet dook!! Apparently, rolling around in a baby pool covered in shit while pissing on yourself "takes up too much of their "valuable" time" and they have to either "clean up and cover the smell of shit or pay for and move to another room" cause thats sooo difficult, besides its THEIR shit, the smell shouldn't be THAT bothersome..... Anyway, Im just saying, when you're in this situation, and lets be honest you'll DEFINITELY be in this situation, don't pay to have a whore unload her ass on your chest upfront, hold the cash earmarked for this part of the service until after that dump is delivered to your satisfaction.... otherwise, theres a really good chance that you won't be spreading shit all over yourself and pissing into your own face and if you can't do that, then what are you paying a whore for?

As a security guard who works at one of the strip properties, everything he said is spot on. He also should have added that even if security and police are able to help you in a situation involving a prostitute, you'll still be charged for soliciting sex, so you'll be a victim and be slapped with a charge, its a terrible idea so just ignore those women as tempting as they are. The only advice I can say is that if you get into any trouble at an MGM, Caesars, or any mega resort casino, notifying security is way more effective than trying to fix the problem yourself or calling the police. We know the property better than you do and we can direct police, paramedics, and provide first aid way faster than any other help can arrive. Good video.

As an 18 year old US Marine in 1977 I took a trip with buddies from 29 Palms Ca to LV by a bus. Upon arrival every hooker, con man , rip off artist, and scumbag, was waiting to steal as much money as quickly as possible, and in the late 70s it wasn't difficult identifying young Marines from the rest of the population . Jacob is doing a real public service here. Giving people tips to stay safe in Las Vegas is great. Several years ago, me & a few other guys went to LV. Lots of fun. Had never been before. We stayed at one of the top properties. We also met some women & invited them back to our room. And yes, one of them did text someone. And yes, Three Guys did show up at our door. One of the women answered the door. The Three Good Sized Guys entered the room & demanded our wallets. Unfortunately for them, all Four of us had our own weapons & when they entered the room, we had already pulled our weapons. You never saw Three Grown Men run so fast in your life. Even in that much smaller and less glitz-saturated environment, I don't think I ever met one genuine person. There were few honest people, few hard workers, and absolutely no deep thinkers. Never think you just got lucky when she looks right in your eyes and smiles.Have a plan of where you want to go and stick to that plan. I spend a lot of time making distance between me and other people trying to stay with me. If I don't know you, I don't want you around me. And it takes years to know me, not hours.Never ever let a stranger buy you drinks or food especially at a place you mistakenly let them get you to go too. If the bartender and this person look chummy,they could be running a scam. Frankly, be smart and protect yourself at all times. Especially in a place you don't know. There are threats in any city. At least,where you live, you know where those threats are. Here, you are just meat for the grinder.

I’ve been going to Vegas for probably 30yrs. I don’t normally “hit” the tables until later in the night. Hit some slots around 10pm and go from there. Around 11pm on, you’ll begin to see very young (20ish) very attractive woman (Alone), start showing up hanging around the elevators. One night during my last trip, around 12:30am or so, I was headed up to my room to grab a pack of smokes, when a young lady said “hi”. I stupidly said hello back. You going to your room, she asked, I said yep, going to grab smokes. Can I go with you? What for, I’ll be back down here in 5 min. Your married aren’t you Nope Well, I’m gonna go with you No, your not. Tell you what, if you’re still here when I come back down, maybe we can talk. (which I had no intention of doing) Ok, I’ll be here I spent an extra few minutes in my room and came back down, and she was gone. Guys, these “ladies” will hover around the tables and see what kind of “stack” you have. They see you away from the tables, they’ll “attack”. Not only was I going to grab smokes, I wanted to put about $3500 in the safe in my room. Go there enough, they’re easy enough to spot.

Beware of getting into random limos from off the strip. I got in one with my friend and a "Host" and even though I was drunk I knew something wasn't right. My escape tactic was that I needed to throw up, car door wouldn't open from the inside and the windows couldn't be rolled down. So the driver rolls down the window, I open the door from the outside and I get out immediately and bailed with my friend.

Because a friend and I went to Vegas back in AUGUST of 2004 or 2005, and the heat was only bearable because of the air conditioning provided....Which made me wonder WHAT was really supplying so much power to light and "chill" the city back then....I find it very difficult to believe that ONLY the Hoover Dam was supplying the city with that much power as I was told by a number of people. Even back then, Las Vegas was a BIG city, and I find it difficult to believe that a dam built in the 1930's was advanced enough to supply the Vegas of the year 2004 or 2005!! (But then again, maybe it's just because I know practically nothing about electricity and power....Or the "aliens" at Area 51 is the REAL source of power??🤣😶🤣) And speaking of the Hoover Dam, the heat that day visiting it was the HOTTEST weather I had ever experienced in my life!! Interesting comment because having survived Basic Training at Ft. It was 1 1/2 years ago. I wanted to walk to a dispensary to go pick up some choice vape pens for my stay. When I cut through the back neighborhood going west behind the stratosphere there was a man getting roughed up by 2 other men. It looked totally staged. Because they were mainly hitting his body but nothing looked like it would really hurt because the intent wasn’t there. It seemed as though they were waiting for me to intervene for their chance to rob me. But I laughed and keep walking while at the same time making sure I was aware of my surroundings. The 2 guys eventually left. Don’t know if they took anything. The guy who was getting roughed up was trying to make it look like he was a victim but I wasn’t falling for it. Needless to say learn how to read the body language of people. Not just the actions. It can help keep you out of trouble.

The next morning he had a bunch of flat tires and had to call a tire service truck to get them aired up, She had pulled the valve stems out of the valve cores. She also tore the ribbon seal off his trailer. That meant he had to deliver a un-sealed load and the customer made him piece-count the load....... Don't play with these women but be polite about it. Best advice: You don't need Las Vegas in your life. At all. It's not that great. The lights are pretty, sure, but you are not Robert DeNiro or Joe Pesci in the movie Casino, and you never will be unless you are a famous rich person. You're not the dudes from The Hangover 1, 2, or 3. If you can make it to your 30's, once you've grown up, you won't even miss it. If God ever told me he was going to remove all the memories I have of Las Vegas, as if they never happened, I would tell him, "Good. Be my guest!" That city does not care about you, nor do the people in it. I love/d partying as much as the next guy, but Vegas is just empty and hollow inside. You'll never make any meaningful memories in Vegas that ever stack up to making memories with your family and friends at much more respectable places. Unless you are completely oblivious to people using you, and you are more than fine with that, Vegas isn't your thing.

Being a native Nevadan it never fails to make me shake my head if I find myself wandering around the Fremont St. Experience and I see 2 or 3 girls approach a guy. Just out of the blue. They couldn't be more obvious. They normally work in pairs though as I've had them approach me. The 1st thing they love to ask? "So where you from?" The very second I say "I'm a local." they become annoyed and wander off. They very much only like to prey on the Tourists.

Yes it’s the same all around the world, where are you from? In third world countries they can be the hardest to shake because they’re more desperate. Before they get close enough to even talk to you hold your hands out to each side and say “I have no money!” It ends it right then and there!

I had a few approach me at casinos. Now I lived temporarily in Vegas since I was working as a roofer for a federal contractor in Nellis AFB and so our bosses ended up renting us some apartments. So every other weekend we went out to the Strip. And that's where I would have women, mostly Asian women try to start chit chat with me while I played slots. Now a high school friend of ours who was already living in Vegas warned us before hand that these women were either hookers who could also be thieves or even worse, undercover cops. It didn't help that I was 20 so for the first few weeks I was already breaking the law by gambling while underage. It came to the point where I stopped being nice and told them to piss off. Besides, if you do want to hook up, it's not that hard. There's plenty of regular clubs, strip clubs, bars, etc. Plus unless they're a giga Chad, men inevitably pay for sex one way or another so you may end up buying a girl a drink or whatever and take her back to your place, which we did. And of course, the aforementioned escorts, which you can contact via the cards that they give out at the Strip. And you do see them with rich old farts riding in Vipers and Ferraris looking miserable but hey, they're probably making at least $1k that night

My devout Christian sister was accused of being a hooker at a condo they had rented . The guard did not realize my 70 year old sister was not a hooker and checked her various ids, I wasn’t happy about it, Vegas is really in a bad era, I think it was nicer when the mob ran the show.
@Tina-mt9cl
@Tina-mt9cl 2 жыл бұрын
The mob had dignity, honor, and respect. They had pride in their business, and they didn't allow corruption to run a muck. When they drew a line people knew not to cross it and it was always fair. Now though, now there are no distinct lines, now there are no morals, no there are no limits to the backstabbing degeneracy and in your face corruption. Now you have to watch your back much much more than back in the days. It's the wild west, every man for himself, a doggy dog world, ect... Come have fun but you had better bring your street smarts with you and if you have none you will undoubtedly become prey sooner than later.

I learned this in reverse. Went back to a womans hotel ( not a pro ). We had been out walking for awhile, so she said she needed a shower. When she went to shower I realized her purse was right there and I was a complete stranger. I could have just took it and left. Made me think how many pros could ask the John to take a shower first and then disappear.

My cousin went with a girl in Vegas, he was staying at Circus Circus, and she was staying there as well. When he got to his room, he realised that she must have had a stomach issue as she couldn’t stop passing wind. Needless to say, he wasn’t really in the mood with the constant sound and dreadful smell, so he just went to sleep in his clothes. She was gone in the morning.

Having lived here in Las Vegas the last 30 years and known a lot of people who have worked on the Strip, all the scams you mention are spot on from everything I have heard. Always watch out for pickpockets (men or women) usually working as a team especially around big events in Las Vegas like fights, etc. Also, it is amazing to me how many tourists that come here think that prostitution is legal all over Nevada and are surprised to find out it is not in Las Vegas.

We had a penthouse suite on one of the top floors which requires your room key to access the specific elevators to get there. Unfortunately this often ended up causing them even more grief because Big Properties do not simply get people to their room anymore.
