Ouch! If you turn the box lock over on the Jacoje and rather than pressing on the flat part which is the back of the lock. Press on the protruding part of the tongue, which acts like a button, and your box lock will open much easier.

Jacoje's Cuban links are overpriced compared to actual Cuban link jewelers. Also Jacojes cubans are imported from Italy. I think one of the most exciting parts about ordering a real Miami Cuban link is that you know it's being handmade specifically for you by craftsmen in Florida.

Good point! That’s something I’ve never really liked when ordering from Jacoje. The piece could be better protected for shipping.

Daniel's has a sturdier box lock, probably not casted. But on a practical point of view, Jacoje box lock is more practical(?): Not overly bulky looking (more flush with the chain) and the lack of button actually doesn't bother neck much or flip the chain when it is behind the neck. If I get Daniel's probably I would go with sleek lock.

dang, was gonna save up for a 7mm chain but i think imma go with 8mm up. I also have a 8mm cuban bracelet from DJ but mines is rose gold with a ruby button (my birthstone). I think imma have to go with 10k for my chain since 14k is gonna be too much for me at these current prices. I'm mexican too so i definitely feel you lol. keep up the good work homie

I’ve learned my lesson when it comes to cubes… I personally buy machine made because there flawless. Nobody has come up to me and asked if my chain is hand made or machine made. Spending this kind of money do you want perfection? Humans are not perfect. Both very nice but that’s what I prefer. Grate video.

Great comparison I have the same identical chain the only difference is mine is an 24inch 8mm Miami Cuban link I had mine for about 10 years now it’s still holding strong never had an issue with the box lock even though it’s very small for a big chain Also I bought mine from Sarraf jewelry I think the use same supplier from Italy

Jacoje doesn't make the chains. He is a middleman. Them jacoje chains are machine made with a casted box lock. Daniels jewelry is all handmade that's why the box lock and link near the lock is tighter.

On my 24" chains I prefer to have them made contiguous link and not box lock so that I can just slip it on and off over my head. That just seems more convenient to me. No box lock to wear out through opening and closing.

From what I've seen Gus Villa may be better at making chains than most Miami Cuban manufacturers. My DJI bracelet is really fine but soon I'll be upgrading from 14kt so I'm looking at my dealer choices closely.

Both great chains but when it comes to Cubans Daniels is king at them. Regardless Jacome has other amazing products both solid brands and makers

that chain and bracelet is a solid set, i normally dont like things around my wrist but the more i see it the more i want it lol

Looking into buying the same chain from Daniel and had to ask how did you get the discount. Might I also how much did you get off.

I’m trying to get mine. Debating between both jewelers. Which one would you recommend? Daniels doesn’t have the same 8mm bracelet right now which is what I also I plan on getting along with 6mm Cuban link in 24” and a 4mm Franco in 22” (Daniels doesn’t offer this width so I may have to get it from Jacoje). The lengths for the chain necklace might need to be switched around too… have to give it some though on how to stack them length wise. If I get everything from Daniels, I might have to go down in size for the Franco to 3mm (biggest one they have available) and then downsize the Cubans to 5mm instead of 6mm. Keep the bracelet at 8mm.

I do believe your are supposed to squeeze the buttons on the side of the lock. Those two protrusions on the sides that look like buttons. I think I remember a video where Braden showed something like doing that.

I say give me the cheapest opening experience as possible as long as the gold is on point and not over price too much

Jacoje is just a middleman, taking huge profits from just ordering and shipping. DJI is an actual jeweler, they make their own stuff by hand. I heard you can give them your old jewelry and they’ll melt it down and make you whatever you want. I’m curious how they adjust price when you submit your own gold..

CubaKnow says that a neck chain should hsng straight but a bracelet should not because if it's flat it wont hang right on your wrist. It has to have that curve.
