He's overrated in my opinion. I use to like him a 7 years ago when he done covers. His songs aren't good though. He's not a good writer, all of his songs are mediocre lyrics and vocals. I think he can be better if he pushes more. But he's a male Ella mae. They can sing covers good, but they sing all of their own songs the same. Like his and all of her stuff songs the same. I know it's their voice, but you already know what the songs going to song like. They have no range at all for real, Effects make their voices.

He's one of the only ones who actually makes true R&B, he also completely owned one of the bigger names in R&B on his Trip cover. He said 2016 to 2025. So no one should be writing him off. He's just setting a goal for this generation. Don't get how people can knock a man for being confident. I don't think he is, but I ain't mad at him. I got more respect for him taking it upon himself to push himself and the Genre. Only thing really stopping him imo, is A. Chris Brown, B. If Beyonce wants to do R&B. C. Though I don't think she's amazing Rihanna if she decides to go R&B. Apart from them, I think he has a good chance IF he keeps up the work. gospelevans like Tory Lanez is known for doin this. He took the hooks from the older songs “everyone falls in love sometimes” and made “luv” and he took brownstones “if you love me” and used that beat and chorus for “say it”. Ciara even did it with “body party”. That vibe came from ghost town djs “my boo” which is a damn classic 💜
