Haven't smelled the vintage, but this was a great comparison. It would certainly make sense that Thierry would amend his own work! Btw, those mushrooms are actually called giant puffballs 😄 We have a few of them in the forest next to the house. Luckily they don't smell pissy. Unless you piss on them. 😂🤔🤔

So awesome to see a Furyo old vs new comparison. I have been waiting for this for a long time because I know,like me you love Furyo . But also I always was surprised you only had the more modern and I wondered what you would think of the vintage. I need to try Tenere ,it's actually still at a decent price.

Great review. 🎉🙏🏼💦 I own both versions so I can confirm! 😊 I must say: the vintage for me is king due to the richer and deeper civet nuances - that are missing in the synth version. FURYO outwins Antaeus and Kouros for me also.

This "modern" version is probably from 2008 (8D15 batches). Production stopped in 2013. So they are at least 10 years old. 😂

Brilliant review and comparison Ram, I love this nerdy stuff. I own only the vintage and, even though I like it, I can't help but think of it as some sort of desexualized version of Kouros, devoid of that erotic drive and hairy-chestedness it inherited from the 70s. The bold name and the retro-futuristic ads just clash with the smell. Yeah it’s musky and stinky, but in a warm and cuddly way to me, perfect for bedtime (and I mean actual sleep lol) as you mentioned

Recently got hold of a vintage bottle. I absolutely love it. When I first sprayed it my mum went “smells of cat piss”…and I knew then that I was going in the right direction!

One of my all-time favorites, FURYO. This is real perfumery. THIS is art. Unlike the garbage the houses have been putting out for the past 20 + years. They all smell the same. Cheap, uninspired, shallow, synthetic garbage. I can't wait for when the current age of insanity is far behind us. I hope I live to see the day.
