What sets Kallis aside from all the other great all rounders is that he wasn’t a batsmen who could bowl a bit or a bowler who could bat a bit. He was world class at all three disciplines (including fielding). Was impossible to bowl more than 20 overs a match with all that batting on top of it. But if he had bowled more he would’ve had 500 wickets. He wasn’t a conventional all rounder ... he was a world class batter ... a world class bowler and a world class fielder. Who could only do two full whole-heartedly without ending his career early. He was three-in one. Bowled 150 + when rested. 25000 plus runs 550 plus wickets 330 plus catches If you include ODI’s That record will last as long as Bradmans average. Simply the greatest player ever to grace a cricket field If he was English he’d be a “Sir” If he was Australian there’d be statues of him outside Sydney cricket ground If he was Indian ... he would be idolised and worshipped even more than Tendulkar Unfortunately he wasn’t part of the big three meaning he was under the radar and under appreciated by the majority of cricket fans around the world, but those stats will last forever. Many can say Gary Sobers is the GOAT of all rounders...l do agree he was extremely good but he played just one format....Kallis had to play two completely different formats throughout his career and its really difficult to successfully adapt to multiple formats...and he was successful...taking 500+ international wickets and scoring 20,000+ international runs is not a matter of joke...once again no offence to Garry Sobers...he's also an all time great

Kallis was a brilliant batsman, a penetrative fast bowler and one of the safest slip fielders the game has ever seen. In an illustrious career spanning 19 years, he breached several statistical milestones and set the benchmark high for all-rounders. Jack Kallis. One of the greatest Allrounders in cricket. May not be a bowler, who could simply run through any batting lineup, But was very consistant 4th seamer, who bowled at a decent pace. May not be a master blaster with the bat, but, constructed the innings, even if the openers left too early. He had the most powerful, muscular, board & robust shoulders in cricket, even the likes of Richards, Botham etc. could 've envied his physique. 😍🥰💖
