I loved Jada’s announcements at SDCC2023, not only are we getting Cammy, Guile and Deejay for Wave 3, we’re getting more cereal figures (hoping we get Cap N Crunch and the Trix Rabbit one day) and more Megaman stuff too. Jada’s killing it.

Jada is thriving right now. You can tell its a passion project or pride thing bc it shows in everything theyre doing so far, even with mega man. I have no problem with evil ryu being a repaint. Looking forward to the player 2 paint jobs.

Found both Ryu & Fei Long at my local target. Instant pick up. Some of my favorite figures this year. I’m in for the whole line at this price/quality.

I agree, I'd rather exclusives be repaints and not new, stand alone sculpts. And Jada is absolutely killing it, although I'm curious how they handle some of the more unique characters like Dhalsim, who should ideally come with lots of accessories like multiple stretched limbs, fireballs and faces, and bigger characters like Zangief and Honda.

A perfect example of how art can be affordably sold without any disappointments. Companies like Jada and Valaverse continuously prove that at a $20-$30 range, near-perfection can be available to our community. And those products look very well beside their more expensive counterparts on any of our display. Thanks for this review AN.

What makes Jada a great company is they mastered die cast molding, so they will perfect plastic molding very easily

I am so happy with the Evil Ryu figure, with how well this line has started out so far I don’t mind the SDCC being a repaint, especially if it is a character like this. I can’t wait til Guile and Cammy come out. I am getting all these figures and never thought I would be getting into this line and glad I held off on getting the Storm Collectible figures. I like 6-inch figures but don’t care too much for the 7-inch line since I want most of mine to go with my Classified/Action Force figures.

Just think if Jada keeps going with the line later characters like Hugo would be about the size of Storm Zangeif wow!

First let me say the opening to this review is fucking great! I had to preorder this perfection of plastic from Jada. Now I get to play the waiting game, hopefully they'll have them out when or before the expected date. If they are able to do so, it will help cement them as a force to be reckoned with in the action figure market.

I think the NECA SDCC Alf was the perfect exclusive. Essentially the same figure but with a little something extra that makes him special for the people at the event.

I think Exclusive should be repaints but also should come with stuff that makes it special like extra accessories, effects, and alternate heads/faces.

Hasbro being out done by a die-cast car company who just got into action figures, from detail to articulation, at 25 dollars is insane. Good for us consumers to have more figures to choose from, but sad that Hasbro has been at it for years and isn't up to this quality per dollar. I use to have Sota Toys Gouken SDCC exclusive. However that was 20 years ago. I prefer repaints and extra stuff as exclusive than original figure because of how difficult these wide release figures are to get.

Personally I'm not a fan of exclusives in general cause they're usually limited and almost always a huge pain to try to get. That being said, this figure looks amazing! I already got the regular Ryu and have Fei Long on the way! I'll probably pass on getting this one but I really hope Jada Toys comes out with a Zangief figure sometime in the future.

SF is all about repaints. Look at how many colors they did in just SF2. I dont think alt costume colors should be exclusive, but maybe by adding different effects pieces it might make them more sought after. As for Evil Ryu, this is kind of perfect for an exclusive. The added price for such a few added accessories is a bit worrisome though. I do like how Jada did it though, buying it from their site or at SDCC. And I am all in on this line and Megaman.

We should ask Mr. Bobby vala, but I do prefer that exclusives be repaints that way it’s easier to complete a set. And for those that want repaints can also seek those out. I feel like that would generate more money rather than a limited run of a one off. Think of all those that would have bought it but no supply. And repaint is cheaper than a whole new mold. So every sale after the original, is that higher of a profit margin. But idk I don’t own a toy company or make figures soo…. Lol

I think this is a perfect way to make an exclusive, you can always tone down the accessories and repackage it for the “main” line… I hate how hasbro made GI Joe core characters as exclusives (Serpentor, dr mindbender)

Brand new sculpts for exclusives will always be better than a repaint. I’m not opposed to exclusives being repaints, I’m just saying a new sculpt will always loosen my wallet quicker than a new color will.

Great video as always Ninja.. As someone who can’t go to comic con, I think repaints and figures with a special accessory are perfect for Cons. At least that way people like me can at least get the main line release. But that’s just my opinion and I can totally see the point of others who want 💯 new figures. 🤙🏻

I much prefer a repaint, retool, etc, as an exclusive. I hate when main line character is an exclusive of any kind, even store exclusives.... actually, especially store exclusives, as I have an easier time obtaining SDCC exclusives. It does have to be a repaint that makes sense, and this Ryu repaint makes sense, and the accessories are a nice bonus as they can be incorporated for use with other figures. Bad example, Hasbro's G.I.Joe Con Exclusives. I have last year's and I did manage to pre-order a Chuckles with no issue, and without being a Pluse Premium member. Now, I am glad they made enough to go around... or will since technically no one walked away from their booth with a Joe Exclusive. They got a QR code... awesome. (Sarcasm) It wouldn't be as upsetting if they made retail versions of those characters, but that doesn't appear to be the case. At least this was readily available, hence you're reviewing one.

I don't think character should ever be exclusive. It just ain't right to me. Unless the company plans to release the character later on for the mass market. Repaints are fine as exclusives, they should include bonus accessories though that way people feel like they are getting something unique.

I just have Ryu and Fei Long. I was not in need of evil Ryu. But I am waiting for my girl Chun Li. Then Ken won't be too far long off. I think he said Ken and M. Bison will happen in the fall too. Rubber Yoga guy whose name I can say but not spell and need to always look up to spell it right, comes in early 2024. But I was super excited seeing Cammy and Guile. More so Cammy. That's my girl in street fighter six now. I will get Dee Jay too. I might get that one cyberpunk girl Lucy. She will be in the 40 dollars range. But she looks cool. I'm a bit fickle. LOL, I feel like the street fighter figures are too anime-looking to mist with Joes and Valaverse. Now Legends and only now have my new Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, Ironman, and Elektra,,, well two Elektra now. That Daredevil version of her looked much cooler in person. I could not pass her up. But kind of a special unit now to deal with crap like those upcoming zombie-looking vipers and Serpentor. But I do mix them with Masterverse and Ninja turtles. That new Daredevil figure based on Matt being the king of the Fist ninja with the beard will be a part of that. I may have to troop-build some of his fist ninja figures. He does go with that new Elektra. She wore that DD suit when she became the Fist Queen, King, and queen of the Fist clan. Get that Elektra if you didn't get her yet. I think you will like it.

I always prefer exclusives be a repaint, idealy a deep dive. I want it to be a bonus to have it, not have my collection penalized for not having it.

I like the repaint route. While getting a new sculpt & figure overall would be awesome I think this is very collector friendly. And with the amount of color variants that SF characters actually have In game it makes sense than a jokerized of frostbite recolor variant from McFarlane lol not to mention it isn’t just a simple repaint they genuinely differentiate releases by including new and extra accessories

Exclusives should be repaints but In this case is different, Evil Ryu takes a spot on SSF2T's roster so he counts as another character, I'd prefer if he was not exclusive since now I won't be able to complete the collection with every character from the game, hope they don't do the same thing with Violent Ken

Im collecting some of the figures in this line, and I love these things! I really hope they release Evil Ryu for retail someday. I feel like it would have fewer accessories, but I'd be fine with that. Also, I hope they dont make Akuma an exclusive figure.

I'm not a fan of exclusives being new characters. I prefer them just be variants of existing characters so people don't miss out. Let the exclusives be passable. I can stay something for the completions to get. I got the closed mouth SDCC Gouken's from SOTA. That was the only time Gouken ever got a figure. If someone wanted Gouken and wasn't able to get it from SDCC they were out of luck.

I'm on the fence. I feel like repaints are whatever. I love repainted enough figures that I can be like yeah nah, I'm not paying extra for different colors when I can do the same thing with about an hour plus a pen and a pad. On the other hand, I feel like one off figures are bullshit too. If you are gonna make it, make it for everyone. Not everyone can leave their twin babies at home to catch a jet to the other side of the country in order to get a one off. I think one offs that are limited productions are a big fuck you to the fans like "yeah nah fam, couldn't take off from work to come to the con? Fuck you, get the regular shit at walmart"
