The sample comes from a 1978 song by Samuel Jonathan Johnson called "My Music " it comes on between the 3 and 4 minute mark . Alchemist sped it up , and made it a hiphop banger !

Before you review any Jadakiss album, gotta listen to that LOX We Are The Streets album. Classic shit. This was after they left Bad Boy and went to Ruff Ryders production...with DMX, Drag-On, Eve. They had their time at that time from 99 to early 2000s.

It's a perfect song, that's the only way to put it. Jada and P did their thing as you'd expect, and Alchemist is responsible for some of the nicest beats in hip-hop. Check out Glorious by Cormega ft. Nas, produced by Alchemist. It just dropped right before KD3 at the end of last year.

Alchemist is from L.A. started with Dilated Peoples. Went to 🗽 and got the Co Sign from Mobb Deep. Wait till you hear Prodigy’s “Keep it Thoro” and the rest of Alchemist catalog. Me finding out he was white shows his respect and dedication to the craft at that time in Hip Hop to now is mad respect.

Peace King. I was just listening to it and had to come comment this recommendation. Styles P debut album A Gangster and a Gentleman has a number of certified bangers on it! I was just listening to Black Magic with Angie Stone (soulful and deep) which can definitely get a review. I also highly, highly, highly, recommend reviewing Nobody Believes Me from the same album. It's another storytelling song I'm sure you'll enjoy. ✌🏾
