The issue with shipping characters like Blister and Vulture, is that you are basically shipping an actual snake and vulture. They are too alike and they are going to try to deceive, manipulate, and backstab, each other because they consider each other a threat. There can be only one evil genius in this town.

I’m so glad Mangrove and Orchid got such a fantastic rating. These two are my favorite non-protagonist romance and it’s not even a contest with the other ones. Their love story is simple, yet amazing! When Glory meets Mangrove in Book 3, she promises him that he’ll find his lover, and this reignites his hope that he will. When Starflight meets Orchid in Book 4, he promises her that her lover is coming to the rescue, and this gives her the strength to keep holding on long enough to see him again. Both protagonists were present to witness their reunion. It’s just so perfect!

Fathom and indigos relationship is actually very fun but sad to read. They have such a teasing relationship and it was obvious after the whole sea wing massacre and before that they had crushes on each other. Though pearl told him to stay away from her to keep the animus line gone he was heartbroken, cause he loved but also he wanted to keep her safe and stay away from her. When he found out she had left he felt upset and lonely without her an when they reunited he was happy she alright and safe! In the end they both got their happy ending,and I loved how tui wrote and developed them it’s a relationship I just loved reading about them! So I agree with them being in S+

Turtle × Kinkajou is the one mainstream ship I have an issue with, but that's more due to my extreme hatred of the Love Spell/Potion trope rather than anything wrong with their chemistry.

@@JadeMountainArchive well, like a lot of other things Tui did towards the latter half of the series I feel like she didn't handle it as well as she could've. Kinkajou gets enchanted to "love Turtle as much as he loves her" and because he's just mildly fond she treats him the same way. That's pretty good and interesting writing. But then the spell is removed and suddenly Tui and most of the fanbase is implying they're actually into each other, and I'm left like "Wait, what? Wasn't the point of the spell is they didn't really see each other that way?" TL;DR Turtle/Kinkajou to me is like what Blue/Cricket is to you.

While I mostly love BluexCricket because I'm horribly biased in Cricket's favor in general, I also think that the instant love is part of the appeal of the couple. They're basically soulmates trope without the soul marks, and there's something really appealing about two people clicking without any personality clashes and then deciding to make it work. Plus personally I'm a major sucker for strangers being forced to immediately become ride or die for each other. Especially if they actually get along from the get-go.

I’m so glad orchid and mangrove got such a high rating! I love their relationship the way mangrove never gave up on her and she never gave up on him to come for her. They truly have such a beautiful relationship relationships like this is what people should strive for. They are my second favorite arc 1 ship behind Starspeaker

I know this sounds like a long shot, but I think Winter and Kinkajou may work if given a shot. There is one major thing that a partner of Winter needs to have to keep the relationship from being toxic: they can’t be afraid to confront him directly when things are getting out of hand. The main reason why I think neither Moon nor Qibli would make a good partner for Winter is because they never defend themselves during the times Winter is being unfair and lets his temper get the better of him. Qibli tries to joke around the issue and act like he’s not bothered by it while Moon just simply remains quiet and anxiously waits for the yelling to end on its own. Kinkajou however has no fear of saying the hard things that Winter needs to hear to get sense back into him during the times he’s taking things too far, and I feel like Winter really appreciates the rough honesty she gives. He doesn’t seem to feel the need to put on a superior tone mask when talking to Kinkajou like he does with Moon or Qibli. He’s actually quite comfortable around her. If Winter and Kinkajou did end up getting into a romance, I would be interested to see how it played out.

7:36 honestly, if Moon wasn’t in the picture, I probably would’ve been rooting for Umber to give things a shot with Qibli. I think they would work pretty well together. Not as well as Moon and Qibli do of course, but pretty well.

Sunlow will FOREVER be top of S tier in my mind. They are enough opposite-ish that they balance each other out but have enough similarities that make them really compatible. Also they are so freaking cute!!! One small one that might’ve been missed is Belladonna x Hemlock. (Also Sequoia x Hawthorn was somewhat implied in book 13 but idk how much people ship them)

I felt like Starspeaker deserved higher it’s definitely the best arc 1 ship to me. When reading StarFlight book the subtext of their relationship is written quite well. Fatespeaker seems to know how to being out the best in StarFlight and sees the good things in him. Fate believes in him an observes that StarFlight is a brilliant brave dragon when the others couldn’t see that. StarFlight was also there to protect fatespeaker from her horrible friends who she pretended were her friends. He was the only dragon who really showed her kindness and found her different from other night wings like him. I think they have a very well written romance and to me they are the best arc 1 ship.

I feel so happy that Sundew x Willow is consistently rated the best ship because they really do have the best relationship in all of the books. Obviously there are other good ones, but that one scene where Sundew sarcastically calls Willow "light of my life" had me giggling and kicking my feet for minutes. Not to mention literally every other scene they have together.

1:24 No, I totally agree with you. I can see the appeal of it, but Ripnami x Tsunami is just so plain to me... Tsunami deserves someone with more personality 🙄 Besides Riptide being boring, I also feel like Riptide x Tsunami is a little unhealthy...? Tsunami looses her temper with Riptide a lot and Riptide lies to her repeatedly. One of the only nice moments I remember them having is when Riptide teaches Tsunami Aquatic. I think Riptide x Tsunami could fit in B tier. It's fine at best and a little rocky at worst. 1:31 I've never been on the Glory x Deathbringer boat... I feel like Deathbringer is kind of obsessive over her?? 1:51 I love them 🥺 Seeing Mangrove - a sad, gloomy character - instantly light up when he saw Orchid is 💖💞💕 2:17 I'm glad that the Sunny x Starlight hype is beginning to phase out. I liked it when I was little, but I now realize that it's weird. Sunny sees Starflight as a brother. Rejection also isn't shown all too often in children's books, which is why I think Sunny politely turning Starflight down is important. 3:41 Burn kidnapped Scarlet and held her prisoner 🤨 If Scarlet ever saw Burn again, she'd probably gut her. Not relationship goals. 4:01 I think Blister and Morrowseer just tolerate each other. Blister would probably backstab him (possibly literally) if she saw greater opportunity. 10:13 Luna x Swordtail might be one of my favorite ships in the series! I absolutely adore how well they match each other's energy. 10:36 Alright, Blue x Cricket is a bit of a guilty pleasure to me... I think it's rushed and underdeveloped but it's also REALLY cute. Even I wouldn't place in S tier, though... Maybe A tier. 11:21 The hammock scene with Jambu and Pineapple lives rent free in my head.

I feel like Moonbli is to the WoF fandom what Brightheart x Cloudtail is to the Warriors Fandom. Some people are into canon pairings, others prefer rarepairs, but they’re that one m/f couple that treat each other so nicely that everyone either likes them or loves them.

I rate the ship an A- because while I do enjoy their chemistry, I don't really like the way Tui handled the love triangle; it felt somewhat rushed and sloppy towards the end, and dispite Tui trying to make Winter work it was pretty obvious from the start who her preferred couple was.

Nahh I only ship Qinter because book 6 Winter asked for a private cave than Qibli said *IM UR DESTINY* and than Kinkajous’s mind says I wish he was my destiny and than the 7th book Qibli is sneaking and following winter moon and glory to where icicle killed a nightwing and Qibli says he wants me to come along but he won’t admit it (smt like that)

I’m not a moonbil fan nor winterwatcher but I prefer moonbil. It’s more healthy and the way qibil compliments moon is just very sweet relationships like that are just 👌.part of me will say they are work out pretty well. I just don’t like how moonbil was executed I wanted more wholesome scenes with them than what we got. To me it felt kinda rush but it was the best way for it to go it felt boring to me but overall it’s a solid ship. Winterwatcher has issues and I think the fandom knows it. Winter isn’t Ready for a relationship right now as he is still healing from some trauma , so he needs to work on himself and that’s what he is doing! Moon couldn’t really stand up to winter which isn’t great and usually yelled at her. The only time I justify winter for yelling at her was when she was trusting Darkstalker though he could’ve did it a better way I felt it was justifiable(again could be me being a winter bias). Also they both have some trust issues Moon couldn’t tell him what happened to Darkstalker but that also could’ve let up to the whole trusting thing, and winter couldn’t trust that much from the beginning so how could we possibly trust them in a relationship. Overall winterwatcher isn’t a great ship but it’s definitely interesting if winter would’ve grown up in a more loving environment I think I would actually like this ship. But again I’m not the biggest shipper in the world so I don’t ship most things. Also where is JMA x qibil at!?

No I’m not a moonbil fan I just think moonbil is the better Ship sense it was the best possible way for it to go. I’m more neutral on the shipping if it was just to more executed better. (Hope I explain this better)

My most hated ship is clraesight and sunstreak, because my most favorite ship and favorite dragon is darkstalker. And it also makes me sad because I love winterwatcher...
