Jafffa Adventures continues the 40 Series Landcruiser restomod series.
The restoration of my Toyota Landcruiser FJ45 continues. In my last video, I fixed some rust sections in my FJ45 bonnet and started to conceptualize the bonnet scoop from a 79 Series Landcruiser, the results of which you can see in Episode 20.
In this episode I begin the metal work required to transplant a 79 Series bonnet scoop onto the bonnet of my FJ45.

The workshop episodes are great. I have mainly Ryobi 18v Drills, but a couple Makita 18v Drills and Angle grinders have also found their way in. My Welding skills are shite. I handball them on to our son. Love watching you cut and patch the panels.

Thanks Dave, I’m glad you are following along mate, that is very humbling. The windscreen has been replaced😉 I have a Tasmania series coming up shortly where your friend the chip continues its cameo, but after that I have a Flinders Ranges series that is all clear😎👍

Ba ha!! I know this is "past tense" but at times I couldn't help myself to say "Terry!"🤣 (only cause I know a few cheats to help & then you did half of them anyway😉) but then I your saw the billet hinges & I knew none of it matters as I know it will end up great no matter the process, which you very clearly think through anyway! Who was Don that you stole the level from? 😂😂The bracing for the hinges will of course be critical for a long lasting job (but I bet they are already sorted anyway!) Looking forward to the continuation of this, even though I'm into the early stuff it's still custom which many people dare attack let alone actually finish!! (time for a beer from all the thinking!) Cheers!!

Great video to watch at lunch eating a chilli pie and to try and get my head around all the elements that you just did. No surprise that it must fry your mind. Just wondering what proportion of your day do you think about or work on your vehicles, and has that all increased since you have retired? Avagoodone Terry, the process of this rebuild is enthralling to put it mildly. 😀👍

Thanks Andrew, I am humbled that you continue to follow along. Believe it or not, I only think about the job when I’m actually doing it. If I hit a roadblock (which is more often than I care to admit), I close the shed door and have a sleep on it. The next morning, it seems to come to me more easily. I think subconsciously I must be working out the problems, but consciously I’m just trying to keep breathing. Cheers my friend 😎👍
