IMO it SHOULD be easy to escape from the singles variants. The PKer has the advantage of starting the encounter

They could make hotspots in the wilderness, where the best bosses rotate on a weekly basis. The rares would retain the same rate- but all of the supplemental loot would be substantially buffed. It would make sure to funnel all pkers/players to specific bosses- while simultaneously incentivizing all bosses equally (just at different time windows) Or instead of buffing supplemental drops- just create a new drop pool.

Great points solo! These videos breakdowns always help me understand the context of the poll questions better. The wildy stuff is such a mess, I wish they'd make things more consistent.

The complexity of the wilderness is killer. The number of niche mechanics in and out of the wild, in different areas of the wild, it's all too confusing as an occasional PvMer/Clue grinder to keep track of.

I love when PKers complain that it’s “ToO eAsY” for PVMers to escape. They essentially want a guaranteed kill, it’s not enough for them when they have teleblocks, multi areas, and usually 200 mill gear vs black dhides. I know the wildy is meant to be scary for PVMers and it already is. That 1 tick delay for the entrances already feels like nothing for the average human, and they still think that’s too much of a advantage to PVMers. If you’re finding it difficult to kill PVMers in the wildy then you’re generally just not good. Introducing diary requirements to wildy bosses is something that should be added to combat botting, and I hate how PKers think they’re combatting any botters. You’re not. If they keep making disadvantages to PVMers then I have a newsflash for you, PVMers just won’t go to wildy bosses anymore. Y’all bitch and moan more than any community I know

I have an issue with changing the wildy bosses because of a bot problem, that seems like going after the secondary issue instead of tackling the primary issue... the bots.

Moving the single variants to 30 or multi is a terrible idea and defeats the purpose of them even existing. I agree the multi versions should be much more lucrative, but the weaker variants are mainly for lower level players just getting into bossing. If you mive them to a more risky area, then no one will bother. To a lesser degree, the diary requirement is a similar thing, just keeps people from getting into bossing by locking it behind random one-off tasks.

I agree with making the wildy simpler to understand, it's an argument I tried making once with a pker about how more weapons/items/specs coming into the game essentially increases the barrier to entry for pvp but then beyond that you have all these weird rules and changes that only affect certain areas during a full moon when you're wearing your fancy boots, on the surface adding or changing things in the wildy is great for already established pkers that are bored of pking, but for new players/pkers it's just more crap to end up raging at and quitting and if you've got no new blood getting into pking then the wildy just slowly dies as it gets overran by bots and gold farmers and the old dogs quit. Also I will die on the hill that the voidwaker was the worst update to pvp.

They ask questions on polls for things that will obviously pass. But then they slip in random updates that you have never heard anything about like no longer needing gp in your inventory to buy items off the ge.

The sceptre was always really bad to get from floors 6-8. Since the chance to get a mummy is higher each room, it also means no sceptre roll.

Even the criticism is constructive or at the very least you propose ideas and not just saying "this bad and you should feel bad"

I don't really care that much what Jagex adds to the game. I'll play it anyways but something that makes me mad is the arbitrary mechanics especially in wilderness. I recently died on my ironman for no reason because I didn't know you can't use the wilderness lever straight after speccing. How are we expecting new people to get into pvp when the core mechanics of the game are suddenly different and you don't even know about them unless you use some 3rd party site to look it up.

I only recently got into wildy content by killing calvarion because it was so accessible, also tried revs but idk why there is a tele delay, kinda fucks pvmers for no reason and is a weird and inconsistent mechanic

They could make the inside of the Wildy boss caves 31 , it would mean from the singles you have to get out of the cave and for the multi versions you would need to get out of the escape caves aswell , that way they don’t need to change teleport mechanics and still make it so bots can’t 1 tick tele (left this comment about a min before you said it 😂)

I agree about needing consistency it's so hard to know the risks of each area when they all have vastly different rules of engagement and it makes doing anything in the wilderness pretty frustrating

I'm super new to osrs and at first when you were talking about nerfing the solo wildy bosses drops I was super against that point of view. Once you made the food chain reference though everything clicked and you're bang on the money there. I'm combat level 105 wearing low risk gear so both pures and maxed jump on me instantly. So I'm doing my first few kills learning new bosses and my muscle memories not built at all yet to tp out so it's not instant. The two times I've been attacked and killed were both by 126 maxes with inferno capes, one lit me up with dclaws and the other a void. Both kept gap on me easily without missing attacks and I know I can't fight back at all. Shrinking the "good" area's of the wilderness to force more wolf on wolf fights is for sure the way to go. Right now big pkers are just finding people like me that are easy pickings and I'm not learning anything from getting lit up by 2bil in gear either. The more spread out in the wildy people like me become the less and less incentive there is to get decent at pvp because you're only ever fighting people that have no choice but to run.

I completely agree with the "WHY ARE WE POLLING THIS?" sentiment, especially when I believe they've already said that they weren't going to be polling bugfixes and oversights on their end, because duh.

There is some value in polling obvious good changes, as this is a good control group to compare other suggested changes to. Some people will vote no, no matter what. Gotta know how many 🤔

Most qol in the past has been copy and pasted plugins that already existed on rl and being released on the vanilla or steam client somehow made it a "qol update". These updates are actually qol, changing the description of invocs is such a step in the right direction. Such Quality, much life. Jagex should start consulting chat gpt for ideas

Can I suggest a solution to the singles bosses? What if they gave them all the ability to cast a 30-second teleblock, similar to the mage-arena 2 bosses? Short so it’s not annoying to teleport out for banking (they are below 30 wilderness after all), but this would be an alternative to an arbitrary 3-tick delay that would actual make some sense and give it context.

I agree that a lot of this stuff shouldn't even be polled. Why would someone not want a better skill guide that doesn't interrupt actions? Like how is that even a question? I also think the new lava dragon model they're proposing looks super cool but it should probably be a new type of enemy somewhere, or maybe even scaled up larger and turned into a boss of some kind.

Thanks for your output/input. I really enjoy your perspective on the wildy bosses and botting. I think overall jagex are seeming incredibly solutionless and helpless in the bot situation... Also it makes nooooooooo sense whatsoever the way they are trying to solve the bot issues. its like theyre not paying attention, because 1000%... a couple hours of diaries doesnt hurt a bot that does literally 1000s of hours of bossing before getting banned. It more so hurts every single players entry to these activities and creates further gatekeeping pressure on the player - which is honestly one of the biggest reasons i dont play - you have to do x and y1 and y2 and y3, before you can really do z.. Its deeply damaging to the open world exploration/mmorpg spirit, i think.

They need to just get rid of the first 6 waves of the baboon room

I think lava dragons gate should be lvl 40 combat but the agility shortcut ignores the lvl 40 requirement as well as add a 3 tick delay from spamming the lava dragon gate but not the short cut to help with bots

the droprate on pharaohs sceptre isnt a bug its just poorly thought out balancing, but its not a bug, its should be polled because its not unintended, it works exactly as intended its just stupid, but not polling it would be the equivalent of removing the bones to peaches grind from lumbridge hard diary, everyone hates it but that doesnt mean it should be "fixed" without a poll :)

one of my favorite updates is that they changed the holiday items like the dagger and hammer to be -100 attack stats so you can just "splash" melee hits on an enemy forever

I think they need to make new bosses for further wildy. Maybe even weaken the drops on current bosses and make that up with the deeper bosses (so many way to do this). I think they really want to push PVPers as far as they can in the wildy. So with that in mind: Maybe even have sailing add another island way out there that is like a Karamja type hybrid wildy. Think of how much they could do without dragging current bosses further. Or two islands, one where you can take stuff off of the island but cant bring stuff in and one where it doesnt matter and everything is chaos just like rugular wildy.

Solo please get jagex to standardize all these items to break in all lvls of wildy. I have always wanted to get into pvp but it’s such a huge learning curve and it’s expensive and unforgiving. The rules in wildy are confusing and I don’t know what items are safe and where and all that ends up happening is I mess up, lose items I really didn’t mean to lose and go back to pvm. Please standardize pvp area and make it less punishing. I’m okay with spending gp to fix shit. Not okay with losing my gear I spent hours and hours to get. Again, I want to pvp. But I don’t have the time to get into it because it’s too punishing and too confusing.

Way to get rid of bots is not to make content harder, you need to make bot detection better. There are many programs like riot guard, easy anti, etc. There are people who like low skilled content that provides some value.... think of it like minimum wage for the noobs (like me) Tbh bots can do inferno/lvl 500 toa. I'm sure bot farms can program multi-pking into the scripts and kill the players if they wanted to.

We all know that the amount of bots are high enough to effect the price of items in the g.e. We all know bot scripts are crazy advanced enough to be virtually unkillable at most bosses and some pk situations. What makes you think they dont already have a bot script in place to vote against anti bot polls that would hinder thier income?

I hate having the idea that they are just making it more difficult for pvmers to escape by adding stupid stuff like 3 tick delays from teleporting, thats the main reason why i started to avoid the revenant cave because if im fighting a rev, and a pker who apparently has all the rights in the world to hop worlds and spawn right NEXT TO ME, who has inhumane teleblock reaction which sometimes i swear must be a botscript, im practically dead, im not built for pvp if im pvming and my entangle/freeze cant exactly do much if the pker has ahrims for some reason. The bot issue is bad, but all these changes just makes it harder for pvmers to do wildy content, yeah, i can just not go to wildy, maybe 10 other people will think the same, maybe 100, 1000, it might even kill the wilderness entirely because pkers have a massive handicap while not getting any sort of limitation, almost as if Jagex WANTS the pvmers to lose every time, why arent pkers kicked out of the rev caves every time they hop so i dont get a damn heart attack when i see a skull pop up and i get teleblocked in the span of 0.3 seconds? Oh, that would be unfair now wouldnt it?

I don't want to do any PvM content in multi and the single combat bosses is a way to get players like me into the wildy. If they put them into multi like you are suggesting I would literally never do it. The above 30 is a better idea that I like a lot though. Players like myself then have to tank pvpers, and we get more comfortable with PvP in general without just getting piled and insta-killed. Then maybe, later down the line we get more comfortable that we try the multi variants or try PvP myself. As far as the botting problem related to it, I feel the above 30 would help with that, but putting it in multi would just make the content more annoying for the actual players since bots would still go there, die, and just have less gp/hr. Making the loot from the single bosses worse would be the solution I'd go for.

question 3 shouldnt even be polled. it should just be done. anytime something comes across as giving "more/improving information easily available to players" for an MMO it should instantly be a yes do it. the skill guide thing for the love of god please. been playing RS3 to prep for necromancy and holy hell did i not know i needed this in my life its so nice to be able to load up and just read while AFK mining. instead of changing the model for lava they should just add a new dragon to the game.

feels like none of the wildy bosses should be rangable, as far as wildy goes it just feels like too often ranged can trivialize things and require literally no effort, melee is already doable on artio/callisto
