bluenavara25 very true. Starts just under £75k here in UK (not quite sure how that works, you get it 30% cheaper when the British made car is exported to the US!!), mine was just over £82k with options. The equivalent RRSport SVR would be £115k+

bluenavara25 not sure if it’s just the newer versions of the Jag but it doesn’t let you brake boost! If you try to accelerate whilst foot on the brake the revs just die off completely. If you then left off the brake it takes what seems like an age for the revs to recover and start accelerating again. I think Jag have designed in some sort of engine/drivetrain protection which inhibits doing what you suggest.

GwaffMan not yet been able to clock 0-100mph accurately yet. Got that planned for in a few weeks. As for exhaust theatre, it’s not like the F-Type or Gen 1 RRSport SVR sadly. You can get some crackling on the overrun but only really around 3500-3750 rpm. Very different to the RRSport SVR I had which did it every time you came off the loud pedal. It’s a great noise under load, but a little disappointed it’s not got the bonkers theatre of other SVRs; most likely to do with the GPF that’s now mandated. ☹️

Chris Preston very much still enjoying it. I’m nearly 6000 miles in now and currently in France cruising round with the family. I must say that in this sector, there isn’t another car I’d rather be in. It’s refined and comfortable (without being crashy) when cruising yet can unleash hell should the mood take you. The Alfa/Merc equivalents don’t give you the same complete package in my opinion and you’re left with having to “tolerate” something when loving with those marques - not with the Jag all-rounder.

Jonny Donnelly, you could always ask SVO if they’d make with out the white glove box although I think the Riva Loop is more of a fundamental design change. Mind you, I think SVO can do anything if you’ve deep enough pockets!!!!

ToBeOrNotToBe as much as it pains me, you’re right about the noise. JLR have missed a trick; which may have been more down to legislation changes rather than a conscious decision to tone down. It does open the door to tuners though. As for the other improvements, I really suggest trying to get a long test drove in one though. Admittedly I’ve only had shortish drives in the V6s but the dynamic changes are quite significant. Whether it’d be worth trading in to upgrade is obviously personal choice but I think I would!

@@AltioraPeto No doubt you have the better car as I think Jaguar have made improvements in most areas over the V6. The market reviews this week are all very positive so I look forward to more of your videos. ToBeOrNotToBe, I’ve got some videos planned pitching it against the Merc & Alfa rivals. Haven’t seriously considered any mods yet but I must admit it is tempting! A comment on another video reckoned that it would only be a remap and unrated supercharger pulley to get to 600bhp! Yikes, now that really take some beating by the competition! Not sure I’m brave enough to jeopardise the Jag warranty just yet though.

Hi Kris, I’ve sold it now, but had it for around 20 months and 15,000 miles. Really, really loved it. Such a capable, practical and fun car. For the money, I don’t think there are many others that come close and the face lifted version is better still with its interior tweaks. I’ve now had an RS6 Performance for a while, which is ballistically quick but actually doesn’t give the same driving pleasure everyday unless you’re really pressing on. I’ve a V8 Defender on order (since March 2021!) so will see what that’s like. I think if you’re coming from an F-Type to an F-Pace then it’ll be pleasant familiarity, obviously more practical, but it’s not as raucous everyday. It’s more ‘All Bar One’ than ‘Walkabout’, if you get what I mean.

@@AltioraPeto Thanks for taking the time to reply. I think I will swap for the F Pace later this year. Would be so much more useful and safer driving in Eastern European b roads. Was going to get another Jag in 2024 before they go all electric but another 2 years is a long wait. How can you be so patient waiting since March 21? Hope you will get your hands on your car soon. @@kriskantu I haven’t been patient! I’ve been very impatient! But not much else I can do about it, the RS6 isn’t exactly a terrible place to sit in the interim! Plus my price is locked in from when I placed my order and there have been subsequent retail increases which won’t affect what I pay. Also there’s just demand it’ll hold its value very well too. Good luck with the F-Pace, I don’t think you’ll regret it. 👍

DaRealGody, I certainly plan to. Just waiting on them being delivered to customers as they’re not on the streets yet. Having had a Velar before though, I think in terms of on road ability and dynamics, the F-Pace will best the Velar SVA. The SVA will have the same engine but I doubt it’ll have been honed for all our performance as much as the F-Pace SVR has; its more about the luxury. Looking forward to finding out though.

Jack Shotton the SVA is a beautiful thing to be wafting along in but it really doesn’t compare if you want some “fun”. Plus you could have matching his ‘n hers F-Pace SVRs for the price of one RR SVA!
