(Ecclesiastes 9:5,6) tells us "the dead know nothing at all" & "the memory of them is forgotten" This means their spirit(life-force) is in an unconscious state like a deep sleep with no memory of their former life until God's appointed time of resurrection. Finally, an important scripture to close off on is: (John chapter5 verses28,29) which tells us "Those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement". This scripture tells us both good and bad people will be 'spiritually' resurrected from their tombs at God's appointed time, ready to await Godly judgment. Those that have passed on are guaranteed to rise again. People who believe in The Most High God, are waiting for that time now.
