When I was about 8 my family and I moved to Huntsville, TX, which is home to about 8 prisons in the city including “The Walls” unit where the kill death row inmates in downtown. We were driving one day and saw a ton of inmates on the yard playing baseball. One hit a foul ball over the prison fence, another took off running, JUMPED OVER THR PRISON FENCE, got the ball AND THE BASTARD JUMPED BACK INTO THE PRISON so they could keep playing the game!!!! My mom had a total heart attack! “Lock the doors, baby get out of your seat crawl down on the floorboard, get the gun get the gun, he’s going to steal……” Come to find out it was the trustee unit full of stand up me that made a bad decision in their adolescence and some of those dudes even drive home at the end of the night. I still laugh so hard every time I pass that prison.

In county we got the bags of cool aid with the sugar in it and that shit made WAY better taffy if made right. Thing is most people didn't melt the sugar with the 190 first so it was gritty ass hell.

Bro we used to make this thing called a sweets moley… lots of bread & honey buns and chocolate & different sweets and you roll it into like a burrito then we’d put it on the shower head and run it in the scalding water til everything inside of it melted and the bread and honeybuns got harder.
