Mr. Jaishankar is truly a man of the world, he understands and respects the views of everybody. Being from EU, it is most disconcerting to me that EU leaders react with more emotions than reason, even worse than the US. Being led by emotions (of which pride is one of the worst) is a huge hindrance in EU and it doesn't seem to be getting better. I wish people like mr. Jaishankar held positions in EU, too - I'm pretty sure many of the problems wouldn't even happen and if they did, there would be hope of a resolution. As it is... European leaders have no common sense and are just adding fuel to the fire where firefighters are needed.

Russian oil found market in India but Russia was paid through rupees and Russia could not use ruippes, hence Russian government reinvested ruppes back in India 👏👏. India refined the Russian crude and exported oil to needy countrys saved many countries 👍.

He was not a cadre member but but his allegiance is for what BJP stands for. He is surviving in his job for 2 reason 1. As you rightly said there no one like him and 2. He makes sure it is his boss who is the fountain head of all wisdom and that he is just an executor. Now you and I know, Modi's international profile is because of the witty and articulate Jai Shankar. If he continues the way and if BJP comes back to rule he will feel himself like a fish out of water unless he feels at home in the murky waters of BJP.

FM says we "need to move on - time has come for that" but we must not forget the lessons of history that US is an unreliable ally as Israel is finding out - imagine being its "closest ally" and having weapons shipments stopped in the middle of a war foisted on oneself! The problem is that US will try to decide India's strategic interest and how far India is allowed to pursue it or how far India is allowed to go to secure its own citizens safety and its borders. In 77 years of history Russia never did that and was fully supportive through 3 wars. So India just needs to be friendly to all but an ally only to itself.
