Today’s menu is jajangmyeon(Korean black bean noodles),as requested in the comments.
Jajangmyeon is highly requested by my foreign subscribers. Maybe because of K-drama.
Koreans make a point of ordering jajangmyeon delivery on the day move into a new home.
Thanks to the advanced delivery system, we can order food anywhere easily.
If you can’t find the ingredients, try Korean instant jajang ramyeon from Korean markets. It seems quite similar.
* Ingredients (For the 5~6 person)
300g pork, 3 potatoes , 2 large of onion, 3 handful of cabbage, 300g chungjang(black bean paste), oil for fry
1 green onion, 500ml water, 2~3Tbs slurry(starch water, mix 1 starch and 1 water), 3~4Tbs sugar
noodles, cucumber for topping
* Recipe
1. Dice all of the ingredients.
2. Fry the chungjang(black bean paste) with oil on low heat until glossy or for 10 min. and keep them in separate bowls.
3. Coat the pan with oil, fry green onion.
4. When fragrant, add pork, diced vegetables, starting from the hardest to softest, chunjang and sugar and keep frying
5. Add and boil water, add slurry(starch water) to thicken the sauce
6. Boil the noodles and rinse in cold water.
7. Serve the noodles with jajang sauce and garnish with cucumber. done!
