They don't even know what happened. Noone does. All they say is a music video which did not literally enact their celebrity relationship where he was away for half the time for promoting his movie even within those 2-3 months.

I can't believe he has one oscar nomination in his life.Why ? He should've taken for Nightcrawler,Southpaw,Stronger and Prisoners.Anyway,he's one of brilliant actors of all time.

There is definitely a future for Mysterio in the MCU. They were kind of ambiguous on whether he actually died at the end of the movie.
