funny it's exactly my end goal. I have a toddler who loves seeing me messing with my synthesizer, I would not want to remove him the excitement and the pleasure of seeing his dad doing that. It's good to be independent

Me either because when I heard “The Matrimony” for the first time in 2015 it instantly became my favorite song and Usher’s hook made me love it even more than I ever expected to.

This is what true collaboration is all about. The passion and love for the art. Not only does he produce and ship his beats to vocalists/ rappers, which imo is pretty generic of most producers, but he also works along side musicians, then pieces everything together. Truly a modern day Picasso!

Listen to the roll of those drums.. It's crazy how well all of the sounds fit so perfectly within the song. That sample is too smooth and feels like the glue to the beat. Really really love this video, man. Great work, Jake One.

I love the song. I think sampling people playing is where it's going as opposed to sampling records because of sample clearance issues.
