What really blows my mind is how Jake One can take that horn part, which I’m assuming isn’t in the key of the beat, nor the tempo, and can makes it work without chopping it up 🤔 Insane stuff

I don't understand why these kats be using 60 tracks on just the music alone and with vocals 70 I mean I don't hear it but who has ever had of a 70 sound hiphop track either there lying , it can't be layering even that shouldn't equal 70 tracks mu tracks the music the most I've done is like 11 to 15 maybe 20 and that's for intricate R&B track.

i used to make beatz like him (not sounding wise, but process wise), then I started learning theory, and it fucked up my whole creative vibe. I apply theory every time I try to make a beat. However, I have become a better musician, as well as knowing scales or what not.
@9stopable9 жыл бұрын
tryin 2 learn theory any advice??
@BeatBum8059 жыл бұрын
9stop Sounds Start with learning the scales. What instrument you going for?
@9stopable9 жыл бұрын
Richard Gomez i want to learn keys since i make beats and maybe bass guitar down the line
@jayhooks10989 жыл бұрын
I feel what you mean. I felt when I was learning theory, the vibe to my beats got lost...But then after awhile I learned how to break the rule and vibe out no matter if the theory was "wrong". I guess you have to learn, then relearn and then break the rules again. lol
@anthonydorsey71769 жыл бұрын
Richard Gomez Thats why iv been holding off on learning... i hear it all that time... even from big producers... there glad that they learned it... but say it inhibits their natural creativity.. end up goin by the rules
