"Thank You Biggie" and "What I Tell My Kids" are my favorites off the album. His flow goes so smooth over you're beats it honestly take me back to 90's west coast hip hop but with a modern twist to it. Love what you guys are doing.

Yo jake thank you! Seriously thought my favorite music of all time was dead. I've been listening to old shit and underground for so long , too scared to hear what the present thinks hop is! Been a fan for years but recently heard that shit u did w Danny brown and the sample loop by Portugal the man. I was like why am I only hearing this now! Reminded me of high school shit w tapes n Walkmans . Love it I'm 32 now . Thanks my dude!

Hey Jake nevermind Pro Tools come into Presonus Studio One! I understand maintaining the integrity of the ASR and you can do this in Studio One. My style combines the oldschool and the contemporary as well and Studio One is becoming the new standard while Pro Tools is on it's way out.....
@KennyLauderdale7 жыл бұрын
why would he? lol... he's already made classics, gotten placements, made money... what can you tell him? rotfl... too funny.
@vintageelementzonline75977 жыл бұрын
Lol I feel you, But to put my comment in context(which I see you missed)it wasn't about telling him anything as if he ain't already that dude,clearly he at some point decided to evolve passed just the asr,all I was saying was being a Producer myself there are newer and upcoming things out here that are slowly replacing the standards, if he was in the mind set of checking out new shit(like most of us producers tend to do) other than what he had been doing then Studio One is fuckin dope! worth checking out when you're lookin for new inspiration...

You need to keep making more and more pro-tools and maybe incorporate some signal pulse engine shit in there cause when you use pro-tools, you hit this sweet spot i don't hear often enough from you. That intro is simply beautiful.

now you can Google asr bass samples and download via torrent... too easy... then drop filters or vst effects on them... experiment. take the gloves off and break some rules. it's sound design.

Smh if I were to make a beat just like this one I'd probably get no kind of love. People now a days have no appreciation for type of work a producer has to put in. Jake one is known to make incredible beats without having to add so many tracks in. On the other hand you have producers now a days putting in all kind of crazy sounds just too get some type of attention or support.

Hey Jake Try Studio One .. It's insane n crazy easy. I come from a ASR so I'm qualified to say that Sample One in Studio One is the same concept. Impact drum machine in S1 is as easy as drag n drop drums to the pads..Chopping a sample is as easy as recording it in or dragging it in then using the slice tool. Highlight all your slices then drag to one pad and it places all the slices on different pads.. Find out what I'm talking bout..Peace SonikBlakSmif@twitter

I dont understand how people put drums on a record without banging pads... Ill never get that.. Dope beat though
@Kryptdegen7 жыл бұрын
The pads are just samplers. You can do the same with a midi piano or you can add the drums on the daw
