Producers are the real artists in the studio. They're the ones actually gluing the material together.
@zairriondavis8 жыл бұрын
+James Logan but the artist has to make the music come alive and create a visual for the laid canvas it's a relationship can't have one without the other.

+Zairrion Davis nah i dont think so.. producers work way harder and actually make the vision come alive.

+Estrada Beats Yeah its really not even close, the artists are just the ones born lucky tbh. You have to have a unique and good voice to be a rapper, most people just don't have that. but you have to work your ass off no matter what as a producer, you can't just get by from natural talents.

"Machine Gun Snares" I like how he put that... He gave Lex Luger his props for that sound,2 totally different production styles but a real producer can recognize a winning sound. Salute Jake One's humbleness...

Drake shows mad love to people, IDC what you say about him.. He credits EVERYONE who helps him in his albums, he pays everyone nicely.. It's funny Meek talked about "ghostwriting" if he payed attention Drake even put the guys name on the album so it's not like Drake is saying it's his in the first place. Obviously Drake is doing something right, he passed the BEATLES for MOST TOP 10 HITS ON THE BILLBOARD 100, Meek doesn't even have a song in the top 100.. And the music Drake puts out is most of the time fire, I've never seen a singer/rapper besides Lil Wayne put out so many consistently fire albums, like every song hits.. The man has an ear for music.

thank you, for seeing it as it should be seen. but what will really get you, is give 10 producers the same sample and listen to 10 different interpretations and 10 different resulting beats.
@Wulfcry9 жыл бұрын
trufe4 I want to believe it works that way but making a tune is way more unique with a given drum-kit to 10 different producers. That said if they all claim the drum-kit in their music as their own it would be plagiarism to the manufacture of the drums. So the unique thing of a tune by such "drum-kit" could be a base or a synth lead is to how the producer builds it manipulating the sound for a specific tune. You're allegedly stealing that snare sample and would steal it by the unique behavior from how it fits in a tune how the original producer made it.

You ever heard of Rick Rubin?? Rick Rubin is the co-founder of Columbia Records and Founder of Def Jam records and American Recordings, he's 52 yrs old and has won so many awards I can't even remember (Album of the yr a few times) he's worked with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jay Z, Beatie Boys, Run DMC, Johnny Cash, Metallica, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Slipknot, Eminem, Kid Rock, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Jazzy J, Linkin Park, ZZ Top, Weezer, Black Sabbath, Action Bronson, Slayer, System of a Down, Mick Jagger, Danzig, Green Day, U2, Niel Diamond lol I could keep going.

A good lesson in lost opportunities caused by greed...that original sampled record could have cashed a nice pay check after reviving their music after how many decades of collecting dust. But of course, they needed more money. What a shame. SMH
@KHooksMixer10 жыл бұрын
Jake One doesn't want to tell the where the sample came from because he doesn't want to give the original any publicity which is understandable, considering how greedy they where.
@anthonyalvarez221710 жыл бұрын
I believe they asked for an amount they knew they wouldn't pay. They probably didn't want their music associated with Drake. It is a Gospel Record, that probably plays into it.

anthony alvarez all the more reason not to tell. There's a reason 1990s DJs created the "No Sample Snitchin" rule
@anthonyalvarez221710 жыл бұрын
Dudeguy no sample snitching was said because they weren't clearing the samples. So by not saying the sample it was less likely to get caught. Nowadays you have WhoSampled and the sample is usually credited.
