I completely agree with u yeah. It’s almost like people ignored or didn’t watch him in college. He was the same player in college. Low motor and defense is all effort. It has nothing to do with length.

This pod aged very well for Jalen. Pounding the table for Embiid and Gary Harris, breaking news on the beginning of the end for Ty Lawson. Bill is like 30% on takes over his career. That Aaron Gordon as Westbrook of the draft, gushing about Elfrid Payton.
@icompletelyagreewithu99896 жыл бұрын
Myles he didn't say Gordon would be as good as Westbrook.. And Gordon did end up working out really well.
@SplashWETness136 жыл бұрын
"The Russell Westbrook of the draft" is pretty black and white. He was describing AG to be some super high energy, two way dynamo that he hasn't been.
@PharaohsNews5 жыл бұрын
Bill doesn’t watch more than 15 minutes of most of these players and then compares them to hall of famers. It’s amazing how for a guy who wrote a book about the history of basketball, he barely understands the game. It’s on a very surface level. Which is fine for recounting history of games, but he’s not able to make prognostications seriously.

@@jordan12118 Wiggins, Lavine, and kind of Randle have all improved since I wrote this comment
@safe3220 Жыл бұрын
@@maxdurk4624 Was still a silly thing to say even at the time. Even if you go back two years it shouldn't have been called an awful draft. It also shows that you shouldn't count out a draft class after just six years. Embiid and Jokic have been MVP candidates, Capela and Smart have been DPOY candidates, and there is at least fifteen other productive players. Hell, players like Joe Harris, TJ Warren and Gary Harris barely make the top twenty. It was a pretty stacked draft funnily enough.
@maxdurk4624 Жыл бұрын
@@safe3220 Ehhh, I wouldn't call it stacked. Capela was never a DOTY candidate, and 2 years ago neither Embiid nor Jokic were MVP type players. And that top 10 was UGLY before Wiggins, Lavine, and Randle became good.
@safe3220 Жыл бұрын
@@maxdurk4624 Capela was never a DPOY candidate? He finished 6th in voting in 20/21 whilst having some of the best defensive numbers in the league. It was almost unanimously agreed upon that he was one of the best defensive players in the league that season. Completely carried the Hawks defensive unit. It's undeniably stacked. How many draft classes can you name which were clearly better? The 1970 draft is considered by most to be a top ten draft and 2014 was handedly better.
