The protest comes after both the NBA's Last Two Minute Report and the crew chief's admission that a late foul on Jalen Brunson was incorrectly called. That foul call, which came with less than a second to play in a tie game, sent the Rockets' Aaron Holiday to the line for three foul shots. He made his first to give the Rockets the lead and then intentionally missed his third attempt so the clock would expire.

That was such a dysfunctional ending, what is wrong with the NBA officiating! It's almost surprising but not really how many foul calls are overturned by the challenge. And luckily they at least now allow 2 per game. Imagine though throughout the years how many finals would've had different outcomes if the challenge had always existed!!
