I can’t tell you how much Silverchair impacted my music taste, I’m forming a band myself and I plan to play tomorrow as the first song live. Silverchair is such an inspiration to me considering I’m only 14

Back in 1997 when your “Freak Show” Album came out I was so hooked especially SLAVE, FREAK, NO ASSOCIATION, ROSES, those songs were an inspirational to me to start picking up my sticks and started playing drums and learning your songs. You and Dave Grohl from Nirvana inspired me to play drums in the first place. When I first heard NO BODY CAME, I was trying to workout what were you doing at the guitar solo part and I thought you couldn’t be doing with one kick drum and I didn’t know about double bass or kicks, and learnt how to double kick and played along to it and learnt many metal double kick songs later in life. Ben I’m so happy you’re still going and still being a CHAIRMAN. Thank you for returning and teach us more in coming future. Rock on brah

Would love to see a behind the beat of "If You Keep Losing Sleep" -- took me a bit to get into that album as a teenager, because it was such a shift, but when I did the drumming on that track blew my mind. Really opened my eyes to different ways of approaching the instrument.

I remember seeing silverchair in Boston playing with Local H it was sept.3 1995 Ben, you threw out your drumstick and I caught it and shoved it down my pants. That way no one would get it. I remember seeing how hard you hit your drums the stick looked banged up to the core... What a sweet bday present. This was at the "Paradise" my gf through her bra on stage, now that was not so necessary 😅

I know you've gotten older, but the triplet kick kick snare pattern on Isreali Son is gone. That is what made the groove swagger - you've simplified thinking it would so more groovey but unfortunately the swing of the pattern is gone. Your ghosting has improved though.
