i actually didn't find the fight that boring, a few random things kept me interested. 1. the surprise of Derricks cardio, especially on short notice. 2. I think any fight that includes anyone who is ranked in the top 5 should be 5 round fights. Normally those would be #1 contender fights. Would be good practice for guys going for belts.

Jamahal was recruited to play basketball at Davenport University, but he never actually played a game for them. He dropped out before the season started to pursue MMA. I know that because I go to that school. Also my gym is right across the parking lot from Black Lion BJJ where he trains, or at least used to train.

Some fights really need 5 rds despite if it’s for a title or even a main event… Derrick Lewis and even HW’s in general do not need 5 rds.
