I use seamoss myself and have made it for my family and friends to help with sickness. This stuff is amazing and has great healing properties. I as well had Covid-19 and I took seamoss and black seed oil and beat it in a week. I give it to my wife for her joint problems and when she takes it she experiences no pain. I also take it after a workout and I’m not sore for 2-3 days. I swear by this stuff and will continue to make the seamoss gel.

Throp if you check most of the Rastafarians, they do used and sell it. Sea moss is a weed , our family as a child growing up used it in soups and stews, and beverages. It is very nutritious, and healthy to drink and put in-house food. You need someone to tell you about the Kola Nut, which has a lot of medecinal properties. Thanks again for highlighting this lady. This is wonderful. Great to know that sea moss does such great things for our bodies and would love to see its use continues for a long time. Have a few questions to consider - I understand that corals are quite fragile, are we damaging the coral when we take the moss; once the moss is harvested will it grow again from that particular coral? since COVID a lot a people are now harvesting, selling, using sea moss - will we be in danger of over-harvesting? We certainly do not want such a wonderful healing herb to disappear from our waters. Just a bit concerned - maybe someone can answer these questions?

The reason you are hearing more about it is because of America's greatest invention, the internet as in social media. Information gives knowledge and knowledge is power. People are being educated all over the world because of that invention. As you may have noticed, how Jamaicans and the rest of the world are now seeing the way Americans are living and are now trying to even sound like us with the same accent from all our fifty states without ever visiting the country lol!!! social media is big. Respectfully....do your research. Chondrus Crispus definitely grows below the equator line. It's always been in Africa and South America in abundance. European's took it as their own and coined it Irish Moss. As a matter of fact the Chondrus Crispus off the coast of Peru is some of the richest Chondrus Crispus that I've seen yet. It's much richer than what's coming out of Ireland, Maine, Denmark, and all the rest of those places.

Idk about helping with CV19 knock on wood I did not get it (or did I 🤔). My concern is will the coral sustain our demand for sea moss? Will it replenish on time to meet the demands of the masses? When that happens what's next?....pool grown approach? I've been consuming sea moss for 3 yrs now so I am a fan.
@jahmallajaima14 күн бұрын
Was just in JA in July. I wanted to make sure I could get some while there, because of the concerns of buying them over the internet. As there are people who grow it in pools. And if they don’t disclose it I was concerned I’d get the pool grown one. Previously I’d gotten some from my daughter’s sister who’s Jamaican and was packaging it. I found some while in port Antonio. After I purchased it I started wondering if I’d have a problem either when leavin* JA or when entering the US. Didn5 know if it needed to get checked out before leaving JA. I got through without an issue.

So from some years back I’ve been hearing that carrageenan is something to be avoided as it’s very bad for you. Is it a case that it’s fine if your your getting the carrageenan cause it’s part of the sea moss. I’ve also been wanting to take iodine for awhile now but didn’t know which type , then I hear you have to be careful taking it. But if you have depleted andrenals , hypothyroid could you take more iodine then the average person? So if you’re baking the sea moss, it’s no longer raw. That seems like it wouldn’t be as good if it’s baked. Then it seems like since it’s baked when you are making the gel it seems like it’d affect the process of it

There's a controversy starting about harm to the environment in wild harvesting Irish moss. Many countries farm it in the sea on ropes instead of disturbing it. Jamaican coral is already in trouble, so I'm not sold on wild harvested. I'm all for natural foods, but not at the expense of the environment.

If all gracilaria SEA MOSS was "WILD CRAFTED" the eco system would be destroyed like the Coral Reef once people started harvesting sea sponges and the federal government had to step in and protect the reefs making it federally illegal to tamper with them. Chondrus Crispis "IRISH SEA MOSS" is completely different from "GRACILARIA" sea moss.
