Great Content!!!, Now I'm NO Way a Jamel Fan at ALL, Neither am I a member of New Birth, but I just need to clear up a few facts, NO they did not fire the succussing pastor, He actually resigned because he had a contract with the board and he did not abide by their agreement that was in place. He had another church, I want to say in Alabama that he did not want to give up, thus became a conflict of interest. Secondly, Jamal Bryant, They (the board) interviewed some 130 Pastors for that position, MANY TOP names like Marvin Sapp etc. It was not about putting buts in the seat as their sole thought process. What made Jamal stand out more than the others was not only was he qualified, but the biggest thing is as part of his interview, he SUBMITTED A FIVE YEAR Business Plan to get them out of debt as a result of The Long Debacle. NO other candidate did that. In other words, he did his homework!!! He prepared himself for the interview. I can't be made at that part. From a business prospective, his five year plan was realized in the first two years as being way ahead of schedule. New Birth is back on track and thriving like it once was. New Birth is well known for doing great community outreach work and the people Love That Part....

Our silence in the face of predators and our failure to protect the survivors has aligned us with evil. We must repent and do better. Is it any wonder why people view the church with suspicion? To be honest, I’m a black woman just turned 41 and I’ve been looking for a church home for years now and I thought I found a church back in 2020 and there was a predator in the church. That was also my roommate. He was just a really good friend and I didn’t want to see him homeless because he was evicted and we knew each other for over two decades, so me not knowing he was a predator I let him stay with me until my child told me what he did and I confronted him in the church. The pastor knew what happened but then he pastor turned it around on me told me to be a better mother and then turn around and said that I should just drop the charges and forget about the whole thing, but he knows that this dude was weird because he wouldn’t let him around his granddaughter by himself but yeah, he’s letting him in the church and want me to just forget about what he did and let him go well, I told the SVU detective because she said what he did was against the law and she said she was gonna go out there and talk to him again this was back in 2020, but ever since then I’ve been feeling some kind of way about the church, especially the black church, especially the pastor. I felt so unprotected because everybody there that was surrounded was trying to repeat me like I was the one doing something wrong churches like this needs to be shut down I don’t care is there other cloth people like that should not be, a leader in the church is a new there’s some nastiness going on in there I don’t care to be honest I hope God strikes that church down and just watching all these churches go through the scandals just bring up very bad feelings in me. sorry to put my business out there like that but I just can’t with the church anymore. I rather just do church from somebody that could at least break down God’s word cause I cannot be around these so-called God people anymore.

However, if the church doesn't denounce this publicly they will have a church divided which will not fill sears. Eddie Longs plans should have been dismantled when he passed away. Harming anyone let alone children has a lasting impact. I find it hard to believe that not one single person ever heard of or knew of Eddie Long's behavior. Yet, no one in the church outted him. It was victims!

My husband and I were active members of a church. While going through a divorce, our Pastor, wanted to "counsel" me. I felt loved and that he was genuine UNTIL he asked me about our "bedroom activities". I politely told him that I didn't feel comfortable discussing that with him. I ended the conversation/counseling and church membership. Never looked back. At the next church that I joined, the associate Pastor (who was married) was trying to step to me, calling me multiple times during the week "just to check on me". I reached out to the Sr Pastor a couple of times on his cell phone which was provided to everyone, and explained that I needed to discuss the antics of his Assoc Pastor. Although I felt uncomfortable, I continued to attend bc I was hopeful that the Sr Pastor would reach out to me. Although he would see me on Sundays, he never did. I stopped attending. Church is in my heart.

This report had me in tears because I want to know when will we support those walk worthy of their calling? I am a chaplain, minister, teacher, preacher but I submitted to God's process of sanctification, consecration and understand what my spiritual father told me when I accepted my calling. Son a person sometimes contemplates coming to church but then sees how you would conduct yourself, don't ever be a stumbling block for someone who is seeking God. So I went to God and told him if I accepted my calling, deal with me in a manner where I would never be an embarrassment to him or his church that he purchased with his blood. Now I also understand that the church has a business side to it, so its board seeks to appoint pastors with charisma and that has its place. However, there is a gift/character relationship that Must be acknowledged in the body of Christ. Your character must be developed by God or your gifts will NEVER keep you! If one bypasses God's process and tries to rely on their gifts to keep them, they fall Everytime and the church will always have scandals. Choose a Pastor as God chooses, Man looks at the outward appearance, the voice, the sermon, the clothes, the eloquence but God looks at the heart, your character, your integrity, your servants heart, your humility, your obedience to him. This is the most rehabilitative YT channel the African-American community could hope to ask for. I live a life based on science and logic. I still love and respect my brothers and sisters that opt for faith based reasoning without disrespect, harassment, or debate (I can not say I am treated the same, but peaceful acknowledgement from me goes a long way when they quietly witness conclusions to instances play out EXACTLY as I described, we stay good). The biggest private notion I have is their inability to cite ambiguity or even worse perform a willing head turn just to preserve what is erroneous resolution. Your presentations from a faith-based reasoning perspective cuts through all of that. You're not asking much from them, just basic acknowledgement of bad actors in the faith and how it can detrimentally affect spiritually progressive cohesion, a dash of poison in a well isn't inconsequential if that well serves the flock daily in prayer and congregation. You aid in them accepting this truth and it's undoubtedly the BEST medicine for black Christians in a new age.

I’m not at all religious,tbh I was born and raised Catholic so there’s a lot of baggage associated with the Catholic Church,now in my view all clergy are vulnerable human beings,they have flaws and weaknesses just like the rest of us and to expect anything different is nonsensical,having said that I do believe in that church leaders should set an example and at least try to display some amount of discretion and decorum….but nowadays it seems that more and more pastors have not only strayed from their assigned roles but totally abandoned their mandate all together.They’ve given themselves over to greed,lust and power leaving wrecked and shattered lives in their wake,what grieves me the most is their hypocrisy,their criticism and judgment of others all the while committing the most egregious of sins….I’m by no means a saint but I also have tried to live as a decent person and do my best to avoid things that are harmful to others, but they (the clergy) in their selfishness and self righteousness have strove to elevate themselves above us,to judge us and admonish us while they proceed to indulge in some of the most corrupt practices there is.Hopefully the church and the people will be able to correct these wrongs and set a new course for the future…
