I can think of only one other Tennessee running back showing that I’ve personally witnessed that pairs neck & neck to this effort and impressed me more (given the stakes & expectations riding on it) That was the 12/1/2001 game against Rex Grossman & the #2 Gators when #6 Tennessee finally snapped their embarrassing 30 year losing streak to them in the Swamp 34-32. 5’ 9”, 190-pound #34 Travis Stephens was literally dragging Florida defenders 10 to 15 yards a carry for at least the last 3 quarters of that game. He rushed 19 times for 226 yards with 2 touchdowns against a stellar Florida defense (which under Steve Spurrier, I can’t remember them not having a stellar defense, come to think of it lol) And just to reiterate & clarify the genuine value of his personal contribution to Tennessee’s eventual victory overall, HIS efforts were shackled to a last-luster performance by Casey Clausen who could only muster 17-for-25 for 186 yards with a couple terribly-timed “gimme” interceptions to boot. And poetically (for myself at least lol) that ended up being Spurrier’s last year as Florida’s head coach! 😮😢😂

I read an article about Jamal a few years ago. In the article, it mentioned that he has had so many concussions that he didnt have much of a memory. Basically, things that he did on a regular basis in the past, he barely remembered. I know what this is like because I have had multiple concussions and my memory isn't as sharp as it used to be. Although I have been out of high school for a long time now, even 6 and 7 years after high school, I would see people from school and know who they were and then over time remember their name and then weeks and months later start remembering that we were actually close friends in high school. Soon after I got back from Iraq in the early 2000s. I was watching football or something with Jamal on tv. My brother just looked at me and said, I can't believe that you were such good friends with him. Then my brother had to remind me that me and Jamal used to hang out quite a bit. I barely could remember but it turned out that we were actually good friends when he was at UT and I was still in H.S. I could remember a little then after my brother told me about some of the stuff we did back then but now, I can't recall any of it. The only memory that I have of us being friends is that my brother had told me that I was friends with him.

Georgia still had to beat Florida for Tennessee later in the year, otherwise, Tennessee would have failed to win jackshit with Peyton Manning in 4 years. If Kirby and these Dawgs hadn't beaten Florida later in the year it would have been no natty for Peyton (which it still is since he didn’t win a Natty anyway) AND no SEC or even division championships for Peyton. Thanks to Kirby, Peyton was able to back into the conference championship and get his ass whooped by Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl.

Ga has gotten better without Kirby on the field. Ga stunk it up for a long time. By the way did ga ever beat number 16? I didn’t think so. Ga window is closing now , but at least you have the braves to root for.

@@jermeycampbell9690 lol, Georgia has the 4th most wins in college football history since the SEC was founded in 1933, so I'll take our 90+ year window. UTjr. is a washed up segregation era power. The only time you have consistently fielded good teams since the end of segregation was that 12 season time period from 1989 and 2001 (which was the 12 years between Vince Dooley's retirement and Richt's hire) when you took advantage of UGA being down. The VoLOL's are basically Ole Miss otherwise.
