When you have a dude on a motorcycle with some weird looking handle bars, looking like he came from Adam Sandler, The Waterboy , going up against two sport bikes and two supermotos and is starting in the back, you know you should be worried.

The absolute mad lad has specifically designed handle bars for left turns. He literally out engineered them 💀

His whole getdown is cold. The way he sticks his foot out instead of leaning on his knee, and his posture. Straight up professional..

There's only one thing left that would made him look cooler: A cup holder.

That must be the strangest motorcycle race ive ever witnessed, funny thing is I was totally hypnotised watching it.

"Oh! The shame" Number 2 tells himself, after losing a 2.5mile race with a twenty odd metre headstart to The Honey Monster on a skinny bike with dodgy handlebars.

People seem to be confused. This is an AutoRace (oval battle) where the GP bikes are actually at disadvantage. In this race Haruchika (number 5) uses an oval racer 600cc custom bike that has no starter and no brakes, the handlebars are asymetrical for better comfort.

this winner guy looks so casual. never lost his cool when he got overtaken. he looked like he lived on this track and those other guys came to visit

not only is he quick, he looks comfy too

Imagine, racing your entire life in the best gear with no idea. To be overtaken by Quadi-modo over here in some Amazon bought costume with custom handlebars that look like they’re designed for flipping people off. What a rush.

This is the moment where the other bikers realize that they were just side characters

I love this dude, everything about him looks odd, the bike, his pads, the way he is sat, but he is so effective, no hanging off the side of the bike, no knee scraping, not tucked behind a visor, everything screams the 2 road bikes at the front with big fat tyres are going to walk away with this but they both get it handed to them, great video

Who would win? Two Suzuki GSXR1000 riders in full racing leathers? Or one scooty boi in football pads?

Funny story. I watched the exact opposite of this happen at Daytona in the early 90s. Mike Hale, who'd go on to race in MotoGP and World Superbike, was racing in the Sportster class on 883cc Harley-Davidsons. It was a spec class with only certain parts that could be changed out from stock, including tail sections and clip ons. He raced in both the flat track (dirt) and road course classes, but one of the races that year was a hybrid asphalt oval, kinda like this one. It was considered a "dirt" event, so people showed up with their flat track set-ups, but the rules were the same for both classes, dirt or road course. Mike asked if he could use his road setup, and the officials cleared it. He went so much faster tucked in than the sit-up style of the flat track bikes that he lapped all the way up to second place.

I love watching these races in Japan, of course the dude who won the race with that modified flat track bike are the typical bikes that are used. This was just a fun exhibition race.

This is awesome! I must ask,; Why does 5 look as if he's getting ready to play football instead of racing a bike? I'm not familiar with him but I'll bet whoever he is started racing circle dirt track. It's just a observation by the way.

FYI this is not a typical race, this is a challenge for different types of motorcycles/riders to go up against a a driver from the motorace's you can gamble on. He's the one in the yellow, and that's why he's doing so well: he's a professional who races on these tracks hundreds of times a month. The handlebars are bent specifically for this type of race.

Gonna ask my dad to explain this one but what I'm guessing is that the cornering ability of the superbikes plus their weight was their downfall compared to the lighter greater turning angled delivery bike lol

No.5 is a 1995/1996 world champion on WGP125: Haruchika Aoki. And No.2 is his elder brother: Nobuatsu Aoki. He was also a WGP rider.

Number 5, What an effortless rider!! it was like he ran his wife errand and join this for fun during his way back home.

Perfect aerodynamics for left turns the handle bar displacement, foot pegs, the parachute armor and of course skill.

I've noticed that this bike seems custom built for left turns only, his left steering handle is higher than the right. I have a hunch the bike is built special for that kind of a race :)

I bet he has a mustache that matches his asymmetric handlebars.

Well, I never would have guessed that guy would win.

I have zero interest in motorcycle racing, but this popped up on my feed and #5 had me smiling the whole time.

This is an exhibition race at the track for like No.5 called Auto race on 2015. Both No.2 Nobuatsu Aoki and No.5 Haruchika Aoki were WGP(motogp) rider. Haruchika is 2 times champion of WGP125 at '95&'96. Maybe some motor race fans remember Aoki brothers.

Those dudes spend crazy money on bikes and equipment…. And lost to a low budget rider in a homemade motorcycle!!! Honestly we need more of this

I will never hesitate to say that flattrack dudes are on another level of crazy.

Imagine being no 3 at the start blocks, focusing to win and thinking you're the main character, only to get passed by the real main character, realize you're just a filler character with non-coloured hair, experience the dread of completely disappearing from reality the moment you arent on camera anymore and right before you pass the finish line see a youngster in the audience with spiky purple hair clenching his fist and gritting his teeth. What an afternoon.

I love how he was handicapped at the beginning of the race by being placed at the tail end and he still won.

If any one is wondering. the weird bike is from "オートレース" __Auto race__. (Japans version of speedway bikes) a series in Japan you can gamble/ bet on. This is to show how the specific auto race bike can beat street bikes and motards on "this specific" form of track. Also check out "boat race"... same but with tiny boats.

Few people know but this is actually raw, colorized footage of a The Munsters episode. Number 5 is Herman Munster, after Eddie signed him up to a motorcycle race and Grandpa built a Drag-u-la bike.

I feel like he made that bike specifically for racing in this track.Looking at the handle bar you see its made in a way to support your hands to steer left and i do think this guy has a lot of practice in this track.
