I agree Kimberly. I live ALONE, and yet I watch Jamerill cook for her huge family and wonder why I complain about having to cook FOR ONE!!! LOL... But I do find it so relaxing and comforting. Also, I get some great ideas about cooking something different instead of the same old boring, but quick-n-easy meals I make for myself. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Nancy in Texas

I make freezer mini meatloaf all the time. I stopped using muffin pans. I use a scoop and just line a pan with tin foil. They are like little meat igloos but it's faster- you can put a lot more on the pan and easier to clean.

Jamerrill when I make meatloaf, instead of making one loaf or mini loaves-i form them into patties like hamburgers. Then if I want to make a sandwich out of the leftovers it's easier.

I don't know how many children you have, but I love that people are having large families, again. My parents, both, came from a family of 11 children. It was common, back then. I really hate hearing when people tell young people not to bring children into this crazy world. I would ask them...when was this world not crazy? Children are a blessing. I wish my life would have gone differently, than it did, I would have had many more children, too. However, I was blessed with the three I have, and am very grateful for them. ❤️🤗❤️

Jamerrill, I have found your videos so motivational. Hubby and I are empty nesters, but I have an extremely busy fortnight ahead of me. I just know I’m going to be running on fumes by the time I get home from work; so I’ve been planning microwaveable meals ahead. My own versions of Chicken chorizo rice, beef stew, Bolognese sauce, and a cottage cheese pie. That way all I have to do is cook pasta for the Bolognese. 10 dinners for 2 (would have been 11 but our miss 20 took one home with her) I spent hours watching your videos while doing the meal prep. The thought of having to use a 40 quart (37.85 litre) bowl and needing a step ladder to mix anything in it blows my mind. Hope your health is towing the line. Big thanks from Australia.

Long story very short: I don't talk to my immediate family at all after the last few years. We had a massive falling out because of all of the conflict in the US right now politically/the culture wars and I don't know when we will be close again. I'm grateful every day for my wonderful friends and the people in my life who love me, but I sometimes miss the feel of big family times and big family meals that used to happen. I love to cook, as well. Your channel helps me feel that positive feeling again in a happy and healthy way. Thank you so much, Jamerrill! I appreciate both your cooking advice and digital company.

My family doesn’t like cooked carrots so I use those matchstick carrots in stew, pot roast, and soups. They cook down to tiny pieces so they’re not as noticeable as the big chunk or squares of carrots but you still get the flavor carrots add. My favorite kitchen hack!

What I love about yours is that : I like you haven't got an Acre Farm with animals to tend - nothing wrong with that- I just have issues standing/sitting so I'm limited to tend to fresh grown produce and caring for farm livestock, you use store bought items to help you along the way and I appreciate that, its just me and husband but I have canned/prepped many meals at my pace due to said medical problems so thats why I love how you prep, it takes the guesswork out of it- Thanks so much!

I make large batches of “mini meatloaves” too… but I don’t bother putting them into molds… I just make tennis ball sized meatballs and fill up a couple of large baking trays (with lips on edges)… makes it sooo much easier once they cool to just toss all the meatballs into ziploc bags and freeze without having to un-mold them. My favorite thing to cook and have on hand.

You know my 1st thought was when I watched you talk about your new kitchen that was going in the garage.. I thought 2 ovens a commercial sink, A double doored refrigerator the big kind.. And I used commercial mixer that you could get from a used restaurant supply store.. And then I see you trying to make meatloaf standing on a stool.. I definitely think a commercial mixer mixer would be great And help you when you make big batches of things like meatloaf and cookies and muffins and breads... Not 1 of the really big ones like they use in a big pizza restaurant but they have various sizes .. I would get something between 10 and 20 quart you're gonna spend anywhere between $500 to $1500 for brand new.. At a used restaurant supply store you might get away with 20 qt for $500.. And when you're building your cabinets you could have a spot built where it sits special . They do come in countertop size but they're still a little bit bigger than a regular big kitchenaid so you might want to have your cabinet built just a little bit lower than normal.. Just thought... My pastor had 21 children and his wife had one of the big restaurant one like you see in a pizza place.. She said she'd never be without one.. But then she'd freeze 25 pizzas at a time or 25 meat loaves at a time And I can't even imagine how hundreds of dozens of cookies or breads she made..

I don't know why I haven't thought of this before but if you have a small family, you could use one of the packs. You could have a few different families pick a meal or two each and they all cook it and everyone exchange meals and get a couple of each meal. That way if you have a small family you don't have TONS or not enough freezer space for it all. Plus it's not as expensive or take as long for everyone to cook one or two meals. If one friend had a larger kitchen everyone could make a day out of it and hang out and cook together! I've been thinking about doing this with my mom, sister, and sister in law. In my house it's just me and my husband, sister is family of 5, sister in law family of 4, and mom and dad. I think it would be fun! Thank you for inspiring all the freezer cooking ideas!!!

Something else good in meatloaf is horseradish, that's what restaurant Cracker Barrel does. In mine I deeply caramelize onions, add garlic at the end, then ketchup or tomato paste & cool in fridge, then add to mixture. I save stale bread in a freezer bag & thaw, or toast 4-5 slices, cool & grind them. I combine all ingredients, then put on latex gloves & add the meat last, mix & form the loaf to keep my hands clean, & discard gloves. Near end of cooking I top with mixture of ketchup & BBQ sauce & brown. I use 3lbs ground beef & 1lb pork sausage. So many recipes, just the way I do it ;-) I love meatloaf sandwiches, they're good on hamburger buns too.. BTW I've been watching every video of yours for many years, the moving, the farming & animals & especially enjoy THE COOKING cuz I'm a foodie

I use gloves when making mine too. I just hate getting meat under my nails, plus if I have to stop in middle to let the dog out or take something out of the oven I can remove them in a snap. The carmelized onions in meatloaf sound wonderful.
@justcatsjamie
@justcatsjamie 2 жыл бұрын
@@sbayles They're way better than raw onions or onion powder imo & try the horseradish.. I add lots! So helpful to have all ingredients out & mixed in the bowl BEFORE putting on gloves for meat. I hate greasy slimy meat, pork, bacon on my hands & under my nails too. I put a small plastic grocery bag on the counter widely opened for onion peels, meat containers etc & trash the gloves last. When food is done I add the parchment paper, foil or whatever used & throw it out. Very sanitary,

I enjoy watching you cook! I was just thinking, if you had a big cookie scoop, you could do your mini meatloaves that way, straight onto baking sheets, instead of in the muffin pans. Just a thought. Then they'd be mini meatloaves, or giant meatballs!

When it comes to seasoning I like the phrase "season to your taste". So if like more use more, if you like less use less.

Tip: add a package of chicken flavor stovetop stuffing for the filler to turkey meatloaf + the other recipe fixings. Yummy!
